Fray Bentos quality always beautiful pies...This Chicken pie is out of this world..gorgeous meat and the pastry is gorgeous too. About the best pie you can buy..I love them.. Great value for money and Very highly recomended

These pies are useful to keep in the cupboard for a quick meal. Not a lot of meat, more like a gravy pie but they are tasty and not much money.

you can not best these for long term storage and in that we mean you can have them in the cupboard to throw in at a minutes notice and a packet of mash and a tin of veg and you have a nice meal , yes not the healthiest but sure fills the gap when your hungry , we have noticed the meat content getting a little less the last few years which we find strange as the price has gone very high they use to be £0.99p , so may be put a little more meat back in for the price but we still recommend to make a meal fast

To be honest it's not great. Typical of all their pies there is not much meat, but this is also very tasteless.

FB great pies ,so dear these days .Two though £2 each ,you can't go wrong .Suculent pastry under the puff pastry ,then ,a lovely middle ,which ever FB pie you like best .Great value for money .

Having seen these pies in shops over the years, and having read the many glowing reviews on Amazon, I bought several to give them a go. I managed to get the golden brown crust, but beneath was plenty of uncooked pastry. But really, the problem with this (Chicken) pie was the total, utter lack of chicken in it. After reading reviews in which people describe the lashings of gravy and tasty chunks of chicken I can only assume they are on a different planet to me. Mine was virtully empty and I counted five small (I mean very small) pieces of chicken. If this is what the chicken pie is like (chicken being cheap meat) lord knows what I will find in the steak pie. The final insult to Fray Bentos is that the dog refused the leftovers. I always knew he was a dog of taste.

These Fray Bentos meat pies have been difficult to find in the USA, but they are worth the search. Make sure you have a robust can opener. Follow the directions on the can and you get to enjoy a hearty, hot, tasty meat pie that does not require hours to assemble and bake. It goes well with a green salad or a side of root vegetables and a cuppa. Some of us are particularly fond of the puffy, flaky upper crust. These pies will keep well in your pantry for a year or two!

Was quite tasty. Aromatic the minute you open and cheesy flavor. Great for travel. Canned for long shelf life. Great for survival ration. Make sure you own a propane camp oven.

When I opened the tin I was sure I’d made a mistake buying this. Then I put it in the oven… When I took it out of the oven, I was astounded at how tasty it looked! Instantly I was catapulted back to UK! Yes, I do find many British foods tasty. Once I dig into this pie, I realized my initial impression was WRONG (I am wrong more often than I will admit to!). A great meal in a can!
