I wanted to replace an existing peephole that was over 40 years old; however, my husband didn't think it was necessary. I bought this one anyway. It's fantastic with crystal clear viewing of our entire front porch and into the yard. Yes, that means that my husband installed it for me even though it required a bit of enlarging of the hole for it to fit. And funny thing. . . .it's viewing is so great that he wants me to buy another one to replace a different old peephole that we have in another door! :) So I'll be ordering another one! Besides how well it works, it's of high quality and looks wonderful. We live in a rural area so it's critical for me to see who's on the other side of the door before I open it. I highly recommend it.

This thing feels super solid and has a great viewing angle. Couldn't be simpler to install, if you're comfortable with drilling a hole through your door. I like that is has a privacy flap. For added peace of mind, I put a layer of silicone adhesive sealant on the external seating ring just so I know for sure no moisture is getting inside my door.

Easy install. Crystal clear view. You ned 28 mm hole saw bit. If door is metal, place masking tape over area before drilling.

Solid made very well I now have such a larger view compare to my standard door peep hole. This one has double glass one piece of glass on each side of the door compare to my old one which only had glass on the outside of the door only. I had to make the hole bigger on my front door took a minute to drill through so I bought a 28MM core bit for $16 at Home Depot looks great

Earl Diamond brass peephole door viewer is well made and looks great. It was purchased because my old viewer was smaller and produced a distorted image and was hard to see through. I re-drilled the door to accept the new viewer, which has larger lenses, producing a larger image, and is much easier to view through and the privacy cover is a bonus. The viewing image is unfortunately not much more clear than the old one, but hopefully the other improvements will be enough to better identify people at my door.

Works great. Use a stepped drill bit to enlarge in the hole in the door. I installed this in a steel door. Be careful enlarging existing view hole. I recommend using a stepped bit. Looks really nice with its little cover. The little swing cover is quiet when you move it to look out. Outside, It’s extremely difficult to see the person looking out.

Easy to install and after trying another cheaper set I put in my garage doors and couldn’t see a dang thing. This one is very clear all the way to the street 90’ away
