Perfect for stovetop or campfire cooking
High quality and well made. Simple instructions. Definitely stick resistant and zero signs of rust. Perfect size for us, not too large not too small.

Gets it done
Is it cast iron, check. Does it cook like cast iron, check. Does it work for baking bread, check. Was I expecting Le Creuset quality for 39 bucks, no. Does it work in the oven and next to a camp fire, check. Will it last forever, check. Little rough around the edges, but for the price you can't complain. If you want something nicer go buy a Staub, or Le Creuset. If you want a low price cast iron pot that will work just the same without the enamel, flashy color, and fancy French name, this is for you. I own both this and a Le Creuset, baked 2 loaves of bread simultaneously, and couldn't tell one loaf from the other. Its cast iron, it doesn't care about the flashy brand name.

Worth the money
I didn't want you spend the money on a Lodge brand. I did season with Crisco brand and putting it in the oven at 350 for one hour. Made my fumirst batch of peach cobbler. Not only was good but clean up was fairly easy. Once seasoned don't use dish soap. Use a clean sponge with scrubber or if camping use gravel. Yes. Gravel. Rinse and dry. I'd buy it again

A cast iron Dutch oven you can put through hell and back
A few years ago I was a product tester, and worked a lot in the camping products space. I have beaten the snot out of a lot of cast iron dutch ovens over the years. My daughter and I put this one through it's paces, and I honestly did a shameful job of taking care of it properly on an exhaustive 8-day Michigan vacation. It still cleaned up easily and was easy to re-season. I also appreciated how snuggly the lid fit on the body. With a lot of Dutch ovens there's too much wiggle room between the lid and the lip. I like to make stews buried in a ground oven, and with lesser Dutch ovens I have to wrap the lid and cover it to keep dirt from infiltrating when I take it out. This one sealed well enough that the lip stayed clean. If there's a complaint to it, it's that the handle for the lid is IMPOSSIBLE to open with a hot pad. But I have a heavy duty metal hook in my camping arsenal for such things. You could get by with a closet hook from a hardware store if need be.

Love my cast iron โค๏ธ
Easy to clean . Size is perfect for me when I cook on the camp fire by myself , it could feed 2 people with a beef stew. ๐ Enamel coating was a great touch and help keep its color.

Great product. Sturdy and looks authentic.
I do love this item. Itโs very durable. The legs seem a little narrow and I worry in the future they might break off but so far they have been sturdy. I teach a pioneer living class and this has been pretty great. The only disappointing thing is that even though I followed all of the preparatory instructions for the product, it still is showing a little bit of rust in the crevices.
