The Original Weasel Ball, Interactive Motion Toy

I gotta say, I never write product reviews, and I had to write this one. I have a CRAZY jack russell - she tears through or gets bored of toys in minutes. We've had this for a couple weeks now, and she goes nuts when I turn it on. I actually caught her in my zoom camera, behind me, slinking up onto the dining room table like a little thief to steal it while I wasn't watching it. (while totally wild, she does have good manners. usually.) The little squirrel tail only lasted a day or so - it's attached to the ball with the plastic thingies they use to attach tags to clothes. so it didn't stand a chance. But the actual ball part of this is remarkably sturdy. She has smashed it into walls, drug it down the concrete sidewalk, dropped it down stairs and it keeps working. I have no idea how. I have to open it up to turn it on because the switch broke off. It's totally mangled inside, but somehow still works. This is the best dog toy I've ever purchased.

The motor noise scares the cat. I even rubbed catnip on the “weasel” and while it did get him more excited, as soon as I turned it on he was not so excited. So I then took it apart very slowly, allowing him to watch. And watch very intently he did. But he just will not play with it while that motor is running. Also its path is just circles. And you have to take it apart and remove the battery in order to turn it off. And on. In order to turn it on you have to push the battery back into the compartment and close the cover. As soon as you do that, the little motor starts turning around in circles inside of the ball. You have to stop it with your fingers in order to screw on the other half of the ball. In other words, it’s a pain in the rear end to turn it on and off. Really fun toy when it works!! You have to be aware that it's turned on because the battery wears down quickly. The weasel detached quickly too, so I had to fix it with a stronger wire. But my puppy loves it

If your dog is any bigger than a pocket poodle, this thing will fall apart before your eyes in less than a minute, because the first reaction any self-respecting dog will have is to shake the "rat" until the ball halves split. There's a rubber O-ring between them, and if your dog swallows it, well..let's say you may end up making a nice contribution to your veterinary surgeon's retirement fund. My solution was to wrap the two halves together tightly with electrician's tape, and fasten the little furry rat-thing more securely to the ball with a short wire instead of the thin plastic binder it comes with. Then watch her like a hawk while she's playing with it. Other point - the little on/off button sticks out too far, so when the ball rolls or the dog mouths it, the action shuts off. Minor problem, but like I said..the key here is "supervise, supervise, supervise!". And I'm not expecting it to last very long.

Doggie loves it, but suspicious of what it will do. This is our second Weasel ball. If you have a curious pup, this is a fun toy, but not for chewer’s.

My dog loves chasing the ball but the weasel fell off right away and the power button doesn’t shut off. I have to take it apart to turn it off.

I have a puppy and he absolutely loves this toy. It isn’t noisy at all and it gives me time to get other things done while the puppy plays

Never worked. Tried multiple new batteries but never turned on. Couldnt return because dog chewed on it but looking at product reviews...others had same problem. Sounds like this is a common issue.

It may be on the lower quality side, but my dachshund loves it. Endless hours of entertainment. The weasel ball is so cute, and provides my puppy with something new to stimulate him.

Le pongo 4 estrellas por que se deben usar pilas. Aún que a mi gato no le gustó (le dio miedo), creo que es un excelente producto, resistente, y el peluche ese hace que se vea gracioso. Espero que mi gato se acostumbre a él en algún momento.

Poor quality, the plastic ball came apart instantly. The battery holder inside was held on my hot glue and broke so the battery wouldn’t stay in. My puppy immediately ripped off the weasel as it was secured by a flimsy tag of plastic. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

My small 20lb miniture poodle destroyed the weasel in seconds and was eating the fur. So I cut it off and trashed it leaving the ball to entertain him. It's too big amd hard to bite though.

The batteries won’t stay in and the ball won’t stay together. Waste of money
