Moroccanoil Curl Defining Cream

This does for my hair what all the products of past decades promised but never achieved. It makes my hair soft, ultra ultra curly, defines the curls, keeps them in place so I don't need hair spray, eliminates bed head so all I need to do is fluff and go. It lets my hair express its great qualities, lets me step out of the shower and fluff without requiring careful application of different products in layers and using a diffuser and being unhappy with the results. It makes me happy about my natural self instead of always being at war with my hair. My color is gorgeous, definition is outstanding and I've never seen such curls. As a bonus, this product has a slightly musky and mysterious fragrance that is bewitching. I read that argan oil is effective because it can penetrate the hair instead of lying on the surface. It has to be mixed with other things to make a hair product, so some of the ingredients look like what would be found in any other Brand X hair product, but using this has shown me that the ingredient mix is ideal, at least for my hair. I wish I had found this decades ago. I had no idea what my curls were capable of doing and now I have saved so much time and self-criticism. My natural curls are indeed a crowning glory instead of a frizzy curse.

I have been using Moroccanoil Curl Defining Cream for at least half a decade, probably longer, after seeing a new hair stylist and sharing my hair woes (fine, wavy, dry, breakage and frizz prone). This stuff is a miracle cure for your hairstyle blues! Let's start with - it smells FANTASTIC! Now mind you, the scent is heavy, especially for asthma and/or allergy sufferers. But it is so, so good, better than perfume, and I feel so sexy when I have my hair up and I let it down and the scent fills the air. This is also ultra hydrating and makes your hair super shiny and healthy looking. Now, for any fine-hair gals thinking, "Gee, hydrating is not a good thing or my hair will go limp," think again. Just avoid the roots but use it from from the middle to the ends. I slightly blow-dry my hair after a shower, just until it is damp but not wet, then run a penny-sized amount through my currently not-quite-shoulder-length hair, then air dry. Glossy, soft, touchable ringlets magically form! Never greasy or crunchy like a gel or a lot of products, even high-end products, out there. Or, once my hair is dry, if I want more of a bed head look, I dampen my hairbrush and run it through from roots to ends so my hair is barely coated with water, then use another penny-sized blob on the ends and lightly scrunch. Amazing! Takes my hair from dull and limp to supermodel sexy! No need to curl your hair to get a beachy, boho hair look, at least if your hair is naturally curly or wavy like mine. I have also used this hair cream in both hot, arid desert climates, as well as high humidity climates and it worked wonders in both. In humid climates where frizz is a problem, this will smooth your hair out and you'll get big, bouncy curls. In the desert, where fine hair melts into a sad little head blob, you can still get some sexy waves. If price is a concern, oh, this product is worth the splurge! And it will last you quite a while, especially if your hair is not super thick. For thick-haired ladies, Morroccanoil makes another, extra hydrating curl cream for you. So, yes, best curly hair product I have ever found and I highly recommend giving it a try!

Initially I purchased the travel sized version of this as I was hesitant to make a commitment to the full size bottle due to the price as well as the size of it, but once I started using this curl cream I immediately purchased the full size bottle upon recieving my next paycheck!! I absolutely LOVE this curl cream. It moisturizes my hair perfectly and my routine wouldn’t be the same without it. Not only does it smell amazing, but it leaves my hair feeling super soft and looking amazing. I dont even need it every day either because some days the product remains in my hair leaving it soft until the next day where I will only need to rewet it to get it looking refreshed again. I will definitely be using this for life. I’m not even interested in trying anything else!

I have fine strands of hair but a lot of them, so I have thick hair. I have multiple curl patterns- some wavy and some spiral. This curl cream is great! I don’t have to use a ton (about a pea sized amount, sometimes more) with my other hair products. It holds fairly well and it doesn’t leave a sticky or hard residue to my hair. I also love the smell. My only complaint is that at times it feels like it may dry my hair out, but with other products it’s fine.

The only product I've loved for natural looking wavy curls. I have really long hair that's wavy/loose curly. I use about 2 pumps for my entire head of hair. I scrunch up and let it air dry. The result is touchable, soft, natural curls that are somehow still defined! It looks like beach waves vs being shiny and crunchy.

BEST PRODUCT I’VE EVER USED!! I’ve tried 7 different products on the last 4 years and this is by far the best. It keeps my curls nice without getting frizzy. On the pictures my hair looks a little frizzy but that’s because I wear a helmet every day and put my hair in a pony for school. Otherwise it stays perfect from morning to night, even when I shower in the night and sleep on my hair. This product doesn’t make my hair hard. It stays soft and so many people have asked me how. Many other products make hair hard. I get so many compliments for how beautiful my hair looks every day and I tell everyone to buy this. Take my advice and buy this now!!

I am not sure how to rate this product… IF it smelled good, I’d use it near daily, but sadly it just scents absolutely horrible to me!!! I mean it really & truly does indeed smell just like what the other reviewer said!!!- “an overwhelming florally perfumed tampon type smell” and I was praying she was wrong about it! Well, she SOOO was NOT wrong! She was absolutely spot in! And accurate! It’s completely & totally off putting to say the least…and it’s on your hair so the scent is stuck in your face all day!! Usually too, I just luv all scents!!! Plus, even tho scent is so subjective, I normally like stronger scents. I even normally luv all the diff scents that are in hair products and stuff like that! I’m not even very picky either. I like clean scents, floral scents, sweet ones, male scents, fruit scents, strong and subtle scents, combined scents, etc etc etc! so just all kinds really, etc, etc, etc.. but tho, as for THIS scent!!- NOPE. Just No. Just yuck. To me, It really seriously does indeed smell like a very, very, old, old, lady smell in that cartoon type joke scent of bedpans and old lady strong perfume that is like the old, old, lady kind of overpowering & overblown floral perfume scent… U know the scent from way back when that I mean.. Like super strong floral funk w a hint of camphor or eucalyptus and lotsa Extra power floral horror!! -like yeah that type of smell. It’s just really really bad to me. (Oddly tho, my young daughter says it’s not near as bad to her! And she’s 21, & I’m 44. So that’s just odd to me.. Now ok, that info Is only regarding the scent part of the product. On to the product and if it works… Well, it does work! & it works really well too! Sadly, this product really & truly works better than anything else that I have EVER used for curls… So now I’m stuck w this product, cuz I can’t use it w it smelling so strong in my face all day…& I can’t not use it if I need curls.. maybe if I mix it w a diff product, it might kill the scent?? I mean Maybe If I didn’t smell it every single time I turned my head & when I also Don’t turn my head, maybe it wouldn’t be so bad & maybe then it would be great!!! I mean heck, if they just changed the scent, I would so be a customer for Life and I’d definitely buy it all over again,& agn & agn & agn! But, I just won’t use this like it is. Not like it is now. I just can’t. I really intensely dislike the overwhelming floral & sulphuric scent combined in it. So, while it does work on making your curls last & look great. It also does unfortunately, indeed feel a bit crunchy feeling (but that oddly also is only up til it dries fully tho, but then it really just felt soft & normal feeling afterwards, which was surprising and Great to me and I was super happy cuz then I had ringlet curls like I rarely have unless I use a diffuser!! And I just straight air dryer my hair, & I looked super curly & great! Heck even on day 2 my curls are pretty great stilllll!!!! So yeah, this is just my blunt and straight up honest review on a conflicting & absolutely great working product that sadly just smells AWFUL…to me anyways… Also, THANKFULLY, I don’t get this same weirdly off putting scent from the same exact brand of (4 curly) shampoo and conditioner, that I bought w this cream, so that’s very odd…-But also good too, since I’m at least able to continue using those 2 bottles at least.. just not the cream.. So, all in all, I WOULD give this product 5 stars (without the stink), but with it —nope! Cuz I’ll prob not ever use this product again, so I want to give it one star truthfully. Since I don't think that’s super fair (w scent being so opinion based), Instead, I just split the diff and gave it 3… cuz it truly does work. P.S. & just sayin’ also, that the scent I mention b4, is not an expired product type of smell either!, cuz I thought that at 1st, that maybe it might be? But nope.. just no. OK, That’s it. The most honest & complete & unbiased review that I can give. Sorry it’s so long! & Last, Best luck & well wishes to all of us curl girls.

5 STAR and a warning*! I have purchased this amazing product for 15 years. Its the only product that truly and beautifully defines my curls. The product works for about 3 days with one application and a light water refresh and crunch each morning. * Manufactures warning the supplier you are using to make this pump has changed. The last two product purchases - The same exact product for 15 years is now hard to get to! FIX the pump or I will stop purchasing your product all together. The last TWO shipments from this account on amazon were faulty. I returned one and the 2nd faulty I jumped through hoops daily to try and get the product out. At times having to place a bowl underneath the product to prevent leakage. Because without the pump working the only way to get the product out is to unscrew the top and insert some warm water. Then shake. Then open the top again and pour some in my hand. Believe me the PRODUCT is worth jumping through this utter frustration with the packaging. However not many people will fiss with the mess or hassle. PLEASE back to your old manufacturer and rebuild the container RIGHT!! AND if my review helped your company please send me a YEAR of PRODUCT for FREE. You guys are kill*ng me!
