Instantly Become A Better Photographer!
I purchased three of these expecting a nice product to cover the front of my lenses during transport, but these blew my expectations away! Upon swapping them out with my original caps, I noticed they had several other effects. I went out to take some test shots. Upon reaching my destination, I placed the lens cap in my front pocket, as is my habit. I was immediately filled with a self-confidence I had never felt before. I just KNEW I was going to capture some amazing images. I was a blur, running about at a blazing 10fps…in and out of traffic, chasing dogs and squirrels, making children laugh and parents smile. I replaced my wondrous lens cap, and hurried home to my PC. I could tell that my download speeds were much quicker, with several hundred RAW images transferring in mere seconds. I couldn’t believe my eyes…100% keeper rate. Every image was perfectly exposed and composed. At one point, I had just spun in place with my eyes shut, holding my camera out with the shutter button mashed down. These were the most incredible shots of all…a butterfly emerging from its’ cocoon at 1:1, a UFO hovering over the treeline, Elvis eating a corndog, and a full front and profile shot of Bigfoot. Selling these pictures to the tabloids will pay for my equipment for the rest of my life. I am going to purchase many more of these caps…who knows where it could lead…perhaps a Pulitzer? The bottom line: Will these help you take better pictures: NO Are they a quality product: YES Are they worth $13 and change: YOU decide. Despite my initial worries, these are a quality OEM product. If you own many thousands of dollars in nice equipment, what’s a few bucks for a nice lens cap? On the other hand, money is money. For me, it makes it easier to use when I have a lens hood in place, which is pretty much always. ‘Nuff said.

Good fit
This is a Canon lens cap and the fit is a good fit you can’t go wrong with original equipment. The only thing bad about it is it must have come from an individual seller and it took forever to get it, and when your paying for Prime for the main reason of quick shipping it doesn’t seam you are getting what you’re paying for. I would not by from this seller again.

Perfect update for a lens cap
Why didn't canon do this sooner? This cap is built well, and works, I bought a used 24-105 from a lady who gave me a considerable extra discount because the lens hood and front cap were gone, but hey nothing a quick search and a few dollars couldn't fix. This cap is actually a great improvement over the older cap designs, it is a fair bit thicker, and it does lose the ultrasonic printing, but that's a fair trade for the added ease of use. Fits snugly and securely, easier to remove and put on, again, perfect replacement.

New and Improved
These are so much better than the old style Canon caps that had to be pinched from the edges. Center pinch caps are great for lenses with deep hoods, as it is still simple to install or remove the cap without needing to take the hood off. They also are just generally easier to use than caps which must be pinched on the edge. Also note, these are much better than cheaper third party caps. Yes, the Canon brand ones cost more, but the plastic is much thicker and they stay attached to the lens better.

Simple and straight forward, but don't get the delay in delivery
I ordered this item on 3/18/24 and the only reason I ordered from this company is because the item was in stock and exactly what I needed. It is a pretty straight forward simple item, not some complicated piece of equipment. It said that the delivery will be around 27 - 29. On 29th I checked the status and it said still didn't ship yet and still on track, on track how? So on 31 of March, I got an email that the item is being delayed. It is fine, I am not complaining, but has it been an urgent purchase of an item that is in stock, I would have expected to get it on time. Anyway, got it today 4/8/24. It is not a huge deal, but had the lens without a cap that I needed to cover and stated it was in stock, so don't get the delay. Otherwise it is same item as I had previous, fits, works, does the job.

Quality & Ideal Replacement. I feel more comfortable and confident using this name brand cover, as I'm protecting an expensive lens & filter. If I had a basic entry level camera & lens, I'd feel comfortable using the much cheaper off-brand companies. But when it comes to a high end expensive lens, it's worth the extra $10-$15 for the peace of mind.
