Needed a longer spatula for a large stock pot. This spatula was long enough and works fine. Wood appears like it will have a long lifetime.

Lightweight but sturdy. I love the teak wood and craftsmanship!

The spoon is great. It's sturdy, tight grain, makes it perfect for the 30qt pot I plan to stir with it. Teak is a great wood, and this has a nice feel, the grip is not too wide or bulky, and I never have to hold the tip of the handle to stir even my deepest pot. But if I ever need another wooden spoon or product, I plan to shop at Faay first. This is actually the second spoon I've gotten from them. Due to the shipping process, I needed to replace my first one when it arrived. I was glad to see a warranty card inside the packaging with contact info. I sent an email, and got a response quickly, sincerely apologetic about the problem I was having, and expedited a replacement to me, along with a follow-up just to make sure everything was alright! You're buying more than a spoon folks. I will continue to do business with Faay not only because they sell a great product, but they really go above and beyond to take care of their customers. Take my advice... shop Faay first.

Bought this for stirring thick stews and soups like gumbo and stroganoff. Did a wonderful job getting all the little bits up from the bottom so they wouldn't stick and it's really beautiful too. Just washed with water and a sponge, my understanding is no soap

The nicest spoon on Amazon. Unlike others that are made out of cheap, ultralight fraying wood, this spatula/spoon is made out of robust and solid single-piece teak. It is sanded nice and smoothly and washes up well. Buy this one, don't buy the other garbage ones.

Just not deep enough.

This paddle is made of quality teak with a smooth, rounded handle so it is very comfortable to use with no worries about getting a splinter. I make a lot of jams and got tired of using a standard spatula and using a mitt pot holder because of the heat and bubbling hot jam spitting, so I finally bought this longer paddle. Why did I wait so long to get this? Even in my deepest pot, the handle is well above the rim when stirring. Measure your deepest pot to make sure this spatula will stand at least four inches above the rim of the pot, and it will work great for you.
