They are OK, not great.
They work for about a year, but then the batteries die and need to be replaced. It is not very easy to replace the batteries, and occasionally I break one that I was replacing a battery in. On the plus side if you replace the batteries when they die, they will last a long time. If you let old batteries corrode inside them they are shot. I feel like they should cost about half of what they do. I suspect that many people treat them as disposable. If they were designed a little better so that batteries were easy to replace they would last many years.

As good as they get for inexpensive timers
As a science teacher I use timers in my classes often. For awhile, we allowed students to use their phone timers to time, but since then, we have banned phones, so it's back to the MyChron timers The good news: These work well, are relatively robust and come in classroom sets with hard shell plastic cases that hold 12 timers. The bad news: They do occasionally stop working. I am constantly replacing the batteries (replacement battery # 389) and resetting to get them to work. Sometimes you need to do a 'hard reset' which is opening up the case, removing the battery and holding the reset button while sliding the new battery in. This almost always works. They are not perfect, but they are the best we've seen and even after 10-12 years, most of them are still working.

Two of the stopwatches stopped working on the first day ...
Two of the stopwatches stopped working on the first day, including one that I was using as example with my class. Every teacher in my school has complained that at least a few of them stopped working the first day they were used. I have tried resetting them but that isn't working either. DO NOT BUY!!
