Great overall lamp, better than advertised!
A little pricy but I am overall very satisfied with this lamp. On 1st setting (lowest) the light stays on forever. Each setting higher gives you less light time. I’ve found the difference between the lowest and highest light output is negligible. I’ve never felt like I needed to go to higher setting and lowest setting emits plenty of light, plus the charge lasts 2 times as long. The company states at the lowest level the charge lasts 8 hours and I’ve found that to be true. The magnet that is used to keep light In place is very strong, which gives the lamp more functionality as far as aiming the light to your work area. Overall the light does what it says it will do, even better. I guess you get what you pay for and in this case, that’s a good thing. I expect this lamp to last along time as long as I don’t leave it attached to the under side of a car, even then it would still work

Maxxeon Cyclops light review from a Diesel Mechanic
Pros: 1. Very bright, enough so that I only use the first of the 3 levels available 2. Magnet is very strong. No worries about accidentally bumping it and it falling on the ground 3. Has 4 charge indicator lights on the rear so you know when it's almost time to charge the battery. 4. Battery life is good. I use it 4 or 5 times a week, but only have to charge it every 5 to 7 days. 5. When you adjust (pivot) the light, the action is very firm. It stays exactly where you aim it. This for me is a pro and a con because it takes 2 hands to adjust its position most of the time. CONS: 1. lack of USB-C charge port. This is a con for me because now I have to keep an extra charging cable in my tool box for this light. Not deal breaker just prefer USB-C to try to streamline my tool box by only needing 1 cable for everything that I need to charge via usb. 2. No hook on the back for use in non magnetic surfaces. The buses I work on are made mostly of aluminum and fiberglass. The structural steel is usually covered or out of reach. A hook would add some functionality to these situations where I have nothing to stick the magnet to. 3. As stated above, most of the time, it takes 2 hands to adjust the light in place because of the firmness of the pivot action Overall, I love this light. Excellent buy in its price range. It performs better than the light I feel it is modelled after (Snap On ECFHKY). This would be a great buy for any mechanic looking for a small rechargeable under hood work light.

I hate magnetic lights
I'm a mechanic and I absolutely hate magnetic lights. They fall to the ground all the time due to long bodies and weak magnetic bases, can never point them where I want, and they are too large to fit in tight areas and be able to still stick the magnetic base to something. I love the headlamps - they don't fall down and they always shine where you're looking... well because they are on your head duh. But in the summer it's way too hot for the warm headband and headlamp, so I struggle with magnetic lights. However, this light is really nice. It's awkward to hold it in the hand and use for inspections, but once you stick it to some metal and point it somewhere it works great. Things I like: - USB C - battery charge indicator - strong magnet and short body makes it harder to bump and for the light to fall down - it seems to allow charging and light at the same time, so could make it wired / power bank powered if needed... but I didn't test if it will actually work To make it perfect: - after couple minutes of use, you still need to cycle through modes to turn it off. I hate when flashlights do that. Imagine you've been using it on low for 30 minutes and want to turn it off. Still need to press button 3x to cycle to mid, high, and finally off. - replaceable battery - not having replaceable battery means you need at least two lights to have them working for the whole day, and almost $40 seems a lot. I have tiny AAA powered light, and having couple eneloops on the charger means I can have that light working 24h with short breaks to change batteries. If those two points could be addressed, it would be 6 out of 5 stars even for me - magnetic light hater.

Must Have For Emergency.
It’s one of the greatest investments I have ever purchased. I have used this when the power is out in my house. It is so bright. I don’t even go outside in the backyard to see where my dogs are. It is that bright. The brightness is so bright it can blind you for several seconds. In addition, it can hold a charge for a very long time plus is durable and very functional. It has a magnetic base so it can be used on car hubs or ladders and etc. I will buy more in the future.

AWESOME!
My husband saw this product on some streaming show that does car re-builds. He loves this! The light is powerful and has different strengths. It has a magnetic strip on the 'handle' that can be positioned to shine on exactly where you need light. The charge lasts a long time, don't ask me how long, I don't know and it's not like we use this for hours on end. He used it to look under the dash of my old Jeep to fix something. Also, to see under the sink when he replaced the drains. It is good quality. It comes with the usb cord, but you have to supply the power plug. We have plenty of those. Good product.

I’ve wanted one of these for a long time. no I will say they’re not quite as fancy as some lights I have they don’t have 6000 different settings. They don’t have dozens of capabilities. It’s a light with one centred COB with a decent zoom on it that has three brightness levels a simple button that you can lock. It’s swivels about 180°. You can mount it too a buy powder or a tripod that’s so equipped it has this screw insert for that the base also has one of the strongest magnets I’ve come across I think only really the snap on I forget the model number. It’s the ultra thin LED rechargeable light. I think it’s a pocket light or something it’s wide and tall, but very, very thin and it has a little flap on the boat on the back that X is a stand that you can swivel at different angles there’s that and then there’s the Milwaukee Rover, which takes the M12 batteries, which is probably my favorite Work light, but the cyclops has its place. I mean when you can take a light and stick it on the side of your door, your car door and drive down the road following the speed limit you know 70 80 km an hour going up pills and downhill and around corners and Pothole after pothole and the only thing that happened is upon arriving at the destination and closing the door and upon closing the door with authority, it did a little bouncy dancing in place, but it didn’t shift it position. It didn’t leave any scratches on the door. I was rather amazed. The magnet is covered with some sort of Memory foam like rubbery substance that has a good amount of padding as long as it doesn’t have any metal filings or rust particles on it from whatever it’s been hung on it’s not likely to scratch painted surfaces as long as it’s been cleaned and work cared for properly. The one thing it does have and I think it’s kind of A multifaceted quality of life thing. I think it’s three or four quick button process and it locks so it won’t just automatic return on in your pocket. It’s got a really heavy duty silicone plug or door. I guess that wedge is in over the outlet so that water doesn’t get in making it. It’s water resistance rating far more confidence inspiring, and you will get four LEDs on the back as battery charge indicators not enough offer that most will give you a single LED that will flash or change color, which is OK, but it doesn’t tell you the whole story and it normally only does it the right one powered on or when changing settings otherwise it kind of just stays as it is until it passes whatever amount of charge to get past that threshold it’s just a really slick way of doing it and honestly it’s a Canadian company. Sure, at least this model is made in China. I don’t know about all the models. I would assume there’s probably one line at least that they offer that’s not. I just wanted to experience a cyclops for myself so it was either the real one or the generic version and if I got the real one, it was basically fine the most budget friendly option available, which I ended up doing, but it’s in my favourite green colour and it’s on the short list of rechargeable lithium flashlights that I’m willing to standby to the point of they live on my front door, their magnetic so they can sit on my front door without a problem on the inside, of course for quick acquisition for when the dogs out at night and she gets tangled or whatever the case just a quick and easy place to keep someļj in i’m quite happy that is for sure. It does the thing now as long as the long-term reliability and quality hold up to the price and the name you better believe that I’ll be getting a second one so that I get one for my workshop and one for my travelling kit, more or less it isn’t the type of light you want to leave laying around or forget on the frame rail of somebody’s vehicle mind you cause unlike a dollar a light or anything else these do come out of cost generally, you spend that cost for either quality of life features or reliability, or in the rare instance all of the above

Brilliant torches just ordered my second one as can have one one charge. The magnetic base is strong and the torch is very well constructed. It will stay attached even when you forgot to remove it and test drove the car after completing the job. Ask me how I know lols

Build quality is great, lights are very bright, and the magnet is insanely good. I lost this light 2 years ago and didn’t know where it went, a car I worked on came for a service and the first thing I see is this.
