Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again [Blu-ray]

I really enjoyed this movie. I already had Mama Mia and wanted to know how they could continue the story but instead they surprised me by telling the back story of how it all started. The young actors did a wonderful job and had so much talent and the original actors continued their rolls with the same amazing talent they had in the first movie. The ending was fantastic.

If you liked the first Mamma Mia movie, you can't go wrong with this one! I think it's even better than the first one! It has even more heart, and humor. There are a lot of funny moments in this movie, but you may be crying by the time you reach the end because it is so deeply heartfelt and touching. I can't recommend this movie enough!!

Just got home, the movie is still in the original packaging and case and there’s already damage to the case. Wish they would check their product before sending it. Other than that, disc works great.

Ten years after Universal Pictures released the musical film "Mamma Mia!" with Meryl Streep comes this unexpected but highly anticipated sequel. Paying homage to "The Godfather Part II" as it jumps between the past and the present. The original cast returns alongside a few newcomers including Lily James, Jessica Keenan-Wynn, Alexa Daives, Jeremy Irvine, Hugh Skinner, Josh Dylan, Andy Garcia and Cher. The story goes through Donna's (James, Streep) life as Sophie learns how she graduated Oxford, fronted Donna and the Dynamo's (Wynn and Daives) and met all three of Sophie's possible fathers (Skinner, Dylan and Irvine). It's then that Sophie learns that she needs to take risks just like her mother did. She has also anticipated the reopening of Donna's hotel, that she has rebuilt to honor her late mother. Unfortunately, her relationship with Sky (Dominic Cooper) has become turbulent due to him taking a management course in New York. Sophie then finds comfort in both Rosie (Julie Walters) and Tanya (Christine Baranski) who visit the island, and Sam (Pierce Brosnan) who retells the events of how he met Donna and how he let her down. Soon Bill and Harry show up alongside Sky as they all decide to support Sophie and join in on the party. She even gets an unexpected surprise when her estranged grandmother, Ruby Sheridan visits the island. The movie uses more songs from the ABBA catalog including "When I Kissed the Teacher", "Kisses of Fire" and the somber hit "Fernando" (performed by Cher and Andy Garcia) A few songs return from the original film including "Mamma Mia", "Dancing Queen" and "Super Trouper", the film also uses a few songs left out of the original movie that debuted in the musical including "One of Us" (now sung as a duet between Sophie and Sky) and "Knowing Me, Knowing You" (used to describe Donna and Sam's breakup) The video quality here is much better than the original film, it is grainy at times but not over the top and fairly saturated. As usual this Blu-Ray set is loaded with many special features including two audio commentaries. Highly Recommended.

Great for an afternoon get together with girlfriends!! Music by Abba makes it really special.

This movie is what Mamma Mia should have been like! We found the first movie good, but not great as it was not organized or as well thought out with the music. This one is fantastic! It has a great story line, and the songs actually fit the scene. The music is wonderful, SO much better than the original movie. We have watched it over 20 times (first time ever with any movie) as it is an uplifting movie with great performances. I don't want to give anything away, so won't give the scenario, but you can't lose with this one.
