Review: Great book - My kid loves to draw and was having done issues with the human body so I figured this would be the perfect book to help, and it did! Review: Wonderful gift for budding artists - I wish they had books like this when I was a kid! I've been to school for art and animation and am confident the method she uses in this book, as well as the portrait book, are solid and will help kids level up their drawing skills. She goes in depth, but not over the heads of kids, with anatomy, proportions, life drawing, blocking in a subject, perspective, etc. I'm so excited to gift these books to my daughter this Christmas.

ADULTS AND KIDS OH AND PROFESSIONAL ! :D
I love this book !!! Its perfect for children and any age group that's a beginner artist wanting to improve the way they draw. I know one book can't give you everything you need BUT this book can seriously give you an advantage at saving your money on anatomy books that are boring and puts it in a simple way :D yet helpful because the artist is a professional and its obvious!!! There is principales of movement in even the most "simple" shapes the artist uses to teach us. This book reminds you that there is people/artists out there that want you to learn and don't put the money first but the techniques and love for art first. I cannot say everything the book has but if you're an adult this may just simplify and give you the confidence you need to learn a better way to make art look alive than any lengthy and boring adult book.

This improved my son's drawing skills
My son loved to draw and he really has stepped his game up in drawing comic book heroes. I would recommend this as a birthday or Christmas gift for a kid who likes to draw.

A Book for Adults, Too
I bought this book as a gift for my nephew (age 15). I glanced thru it when it arrived and I must say it seems fairly advanced for the recommended ages of 9-12! I have passed it on to him and hope he'll find it fun. I did tell him I thought it was fairly tough. But he is very smart and an honors student at his high school, so he may find it too easy and put my concerns to rest! I'm thinking I'll get a copy for myself and see if I can do what is asked because I was never very good at drawing and sketching. Onward and upward I go!

Not Diverse
3.5 stars. Throughout the book there is hardly any representation of anyone not white... this is especially evident in the portrait (adding a face) section where there are no black people at all.

Definitely for adults too
For arts, you have to teach them like a kid and this book nails that

Really nice book for young kids that want to learn sketching/drawing
Bought this for my 7-year-old daughter that loves drawing/sketching. She loves it and uses it daily. I can really see her improving her skills and easily follow the instructions in the book even though our mother tongue is not English.

Easy to follow drawings
Plenty of examples to copy to slowly improve pencil work for drawing figures. As with all skills, need to practice.
