I'm an old man with osteoarthritis and getting down on my old knees to pull up carpet tack strips wasn't going to happen. This tool made quick work of it. It even worked to scrape off the adhesive they used to put down the carpet pad. I highly recommend getting this. I will be using this to remove vinyl sheet flooring next. We tested it on a corner, and it effortlessly plowed through it.
