Amazing stuff!
First time user. I sprayed four sheets of 18” x 20” highly figured and very wrinkled walnut burl. I dried them per instructions on bottle using my 20 ton harbor freight workshop press. Perfectly flat and smooth. Bonded them to metal and wood surfaces easily with 3M 90 spray adhesive. Perfect. Flat and smooth needing only minor sanding.

Works well
Veneer Softener did a good job softening 50+ year old veneer. It took several passes, but it got it flat and playable. The product is a bit costly but works.

Really works
Used this successfully on some very thin walnut veneer. Used on burl, which was more challenging and likely I need a second application to better flatten it. This product needs more warning statements regarding handling and overspray. It is a skin irritant and it seems to attack lacquer. Good product, and worthy of the price point.

Maple burl veneer.
I'm a rookie at veneering so not sure if I used this softener correctly. I applied it to some maple burl and the softener made the burl very bumpy. Had to iron the veneer prior to use. I assume this softener is great for straight grain veneer because some of the areas of the burl veneer became very smooth and pliable.
