They seemed almost too good to be true for the price- but I was pleasantly surprised to find that they cut as well, if not better than, the branded blades. I have had no issues with any materials ripping or tearing (I use a wide variety of materials including vinyl, paper, card and chipboard) and the blades do not seem to blunt as easily as the branded ones. I've managed to cut super thin letters that I didn't think was possible from using the original blade. I've used them with the explore Air 2. I now have a Maker and it is the same housing. I've had no problem. **Q: What adjustments did you have to make your machine to make these work? They barely scratch the surface with the standard cricut settings for card** A: Hi, I adjusted my settings to 330 pressure which easily cuts through 250gsm and 300gsm **Q: Do you need a holder? Or do they fit right into the cricut one?** A: They fit into the original Cricut one. Just push the plunger and gently take out the old blade. Insert the new one and an internal magnet will hold it in place. **Q: What is the deepest tickness you can cut with the deep cut blade? Cricut ones go to 1.7mm, can these go deeper say 2mm tickness?** A: To be honest, I'm not sure. What I can say is that the Yellow blade is a 30 Degree angle cut, the Red one is 45 Degrees and the Blue ones are 60 Degrees. I use the yellow ones for 'general' use but do find the Red ones are better for cutting thick card. I've not used the blue ones so would imagine these would be similar to the deep cut blade from Cricut.
