There are four parts to this water bottle--the bottle itself, the cap, the internal diffuser, and the lid to the diffuser. Overall, it seems sturdy, but I haven't tried to wash it in the dishwasher yet, and have only attempted hand washing it. It has become my most used water bottle and is easy to clean if you're washing by hand. One thing I dislike is that I often carry the water bottle by the plastic loop, but the underside of this is very sharp plastic and can cut into your fingers, even though the description itself advertises, "The lid also features a small handle so that the bottle can be carried with just a couple of fingers or can be hooked on to a backpack." The lid snaps tight over the spout so it doesn't leak, the lid will be easy to keep clean, the inside part drops lower into the water than others, it fits in my car's cup holder perfectly, and it has a spot on top to attach a carbiner to hook it onto my daughter's backpack. I ordered a 2nd one the same day hers arrived for myself, but when my older daughter saw it she wanted one too. So I ordered 3 of these in one week.I can't stand water. Never have been able to drink it much. I'm a soda addict, both regular and diet. I drink probably at least a liter a day in soda, and I haven't been able to break my soda habit. I've tried Crystal Light...no good. I tried MIO (ick), among other things. Nothing has worked. But when I made strawberry lemon water today it was amazing! no lie. I have never drank 24oz of water so fast and willingly in my entire life, and I was actually anxious for more!. I went to the farmer's market tonight and got a ton of fruits of all kinds for the 3 of us to make different combos all week. The natural sweetness and real flavors of actual fruits is no comparison to mixes and powders or even bottled flavored waters.
