Easy to use and functional.Having to replace a broken breakaway cable can be a problem if the fixing is too big to thread through the opening on the trailer. These breakaway cables are great because they have a carrabina at each end.

I bought this to replace a damaged one on my caravan. However, during its annual inspection the service engineer said he had to replace it as it wasn't strong enough for our caravan and could fail in an emergency. We have a bog-standard, very popular Swift caravan weighing 1500kg fully laden. Please check with your dealer that this product is suitable for your particular trailer as the breakaway cable is a legal requirement for towing. Please note, I am blaming myself for the error, NOT the manufacturer or seller of the cable. I really should have checked first. On the plus size, it was very easy to fit.

Appears to be well made and was easy to clip on. The factory unit on the tow bar since caravan was new in 2016 had been well used on approx 120 rallies at home and in Europe, had to be sawn off, when leaving the C &CC site at Kingsbury Water Park after 7 days earlier this month. I had not attached the tow bar properly to the tow ball, I only went 6 or 7 feet, What A bump and bang, the caravan made hitting the ground, breaking the tow bar cable. The wardens heard it 150 yds away and came running to help. They kindly fitted the spare that I carried.
