The lessons cover everything from does God really exist to confession and the what actually happens during the sacrament of confirmation. If you have seen any of the other YouCat books, the illustrations are the same with stick figures and not so many words on a page as to be intimidating to kids who may not be the best of readers. The situations that are used to explain faith concepts are interesting for the kids and most meet them where they are in their life. There are references to scripture in the margins and this is a great way to get kids familiar with the Bible and teach them how to find things in the Bible. This may sound as if the students in my class have never been catechized before, but once a week CCD even for eight years is not enough to make them comfortable with the Faith unless there is re-enforcement at home. This book is a great help to reach kids where they are. Review: Fantastic book! - This little book is a gem. This small is helpful to young people as they want to prepare themselves for Confirmation and know more about the Catholic faith...

As DRE I am very pleased with the YOUCAT Confirmation Student Book. It is very well put together and makes an easy transition to the Bible and the YOUCAT. Would highly recommend to any Confirmation program.

Resource for teens with questions about God and faith
Not a "course" for Confirmation, but can be used as a starting point to help with some common questions. Written in a fast, bullet point way, moving quickly through topics.

It’s very good I bought it for my daughter and her confirmation program it’s very helpful on problem was it’s very expensive but smaller than expected

Great book for confirmation prep

The YouCat Confirmation Book is a good book to supplement parish or school based catechetical programs. It talks about being a "course", but it is really just a book that goes over the central topics in preparing for confirmation. Content is for high school confirmandi, not those who receive the sacrament in Grade 3 (the book mentions smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol).

It seems to require a reference that is not named. That is, there are reference numbers that seem to refer to some text that further explains the numbered paragraph, but it doesn't ever mention a companion workbook or reference other than the bible and the numbers are not bible book and verse numbers. I bought it to review my confirmation some 55 years ago, and it is way more confusing than I recall.
