If I had reviewed the FB200 after my first two cooks, I'd probably have given it 2 or 3 stars. But by the fourth cook, the temps were holding dead on.For me, one important thing I learned was to start the WSM with a full chimney of Kingsford, dump it on a half to one chimney of unlit briquets (depends on how long I intend to cook that day), and let the smoker run for about 45 min to an hour. Another key was to only open the top vent about 1/8", with the two un-occupied bottom vents completely closed. Every situation is unique, that's part of the fun of running a smoker.While the initial Wi-Fi setup is a bit of a kludge, I've found the device to function exactly as intended, and wouldn't hesitate to purchase the Flame Boss again, although I would pony up the extra bucks for the three-temp probe model.As far as customer service, five stars. I only contacted them once, via email, and the response was quick, with a short conversation about vent position and fuel options ensuing. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome! *by J***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2016* A buddy of mine introduced me to pit controllers but he had a different model. He told me about all the issues he had trying to connect to wifi so I decided to see what else was out there and I'm glad I did. This is MUCH nicer than his.The setup is very easy. You can have it all done in minutes. Mine is installed on a weber smokey mountain. There is still a little bit of tinkering involved to maintain temp, but this eliminates the majority of the hassle. No more trying to get 4 vents set right and wait a half an hour to see if I got it right. I just get the right amount of charcoal needed for my cook, then get the top vent set right and forget about it.I do wish Flame Boss would add in alarm points for the pit temp but that is the only thing I can think of to make this better. ### ⭐ Do not order if you have a WSM smoker *by A***Y on Reviewed in the United States on February 1, 2019* I ordered this flame boss UNIVERSAL CONTROLLER based on the description and reviews intending to use it on a WSM smoker and it arrived not as a universal product but as a kamado kit. I was hoping to use this controller to feed a couple dozen guests for the Super Bowl and this $350 hunk of plastic is now useless to me.
