Perfect addition to my Yamaha DD5c and Alesis.
If you are looking for a bass drum tower, this maybe for you. I have been using the Yamaha DD55c table top drum set for a while. It's a nice addition to my acoustic set but sometimes I would use it as a stand alone kit. It came with foot switches that didn't quite cut it for the flow of a lot songs. I would have miss hits,no hits and double hits out of nowhere. I did some research on Amazon and other drum sites and read reviews of the KP65. I must say I found them mixed. I'm glad I dug deeper beyond just a few. The set up process can be very tricky.E Drums and triggers ,and how they work with different brands and modules,WOW!!! I choose the KP65 because of the overall quality of the Yamaha brand. Mixing Yamaha with Yamaha was probably a good idea but it works with my Alesis as well. Make sure you have good pedal with the hard end hitting the pad. I have not used it with a double pedal but did watch a youtuder using it that way. I was very happy with the price compared to others. It with the cable ready to go. If you have issues, Google Alexa were big helpers for me.

Bigger head, easier double pedal setup
I’ve been using the KP90 that came with my Yamaha kit for a while, and it definitely gets the job done—but the rubber pad always felt a little different compared to the mesh on my toms and snare. I wanted the kick to feel more “matched” to the rest of the kit, so I tried the Yamaha KP100 with the mesh head. Right away, the feel was the biggest difference. The mesh has a more natural rebound and just feels smoother underfoot, especially for faster playing. Do you need to "upgrade" from the KP90? Probably not. But if you’re picky about feel like I am, it’s a really nice improvement. The other big win for me is how much easier it is to set up a double pedal. With the KP90, I always had to line the beaters up in a very specific spot to make everything hit clean. The KP100’s bigger head gives you more room to work with, so dialing in double pedals is way less annoying and feels more consistent. It’s slightly larger overall, but it still fits perfectly under my rack with no issues, and it feels solid and stable once it’s in place. If you play double bass or just want a kick pad that feels more like the rest of your mesh kit, this is a great kick tower.

Good pad for the price
This was the cheapest kick pad I found. It's a great price, however I think that the pad should be a bit bigger. There's still enough room for a double-kick pedal, however there's not much leeway. One other complaint would be that you seem to have the hit the pad harder. I've never tried other pads before so don't take my full word on this, but even with the sensitivity all the way up, the kick pad is still quieter than all other noises on my drum set. I actually have to turn the kick pedal volume ALL THE WAY up and the other sounds at half volume or under just to balance our the sound. However, for a price like this, I would recommend peopl to buy.

Works with older alesis electric drum sets!
I bought my son an Alesis electric drum set years ago, his kick pad on his set stopped working. Alesis wanted $200 for one! Thanks to someone's review (where they said it fit their older Alesis) I tried this one. Works great at a more reasonable price!

Perfect for Nitro Kit
I got this to replace a worn out kick pad for Alesis nitro kit, it works flawlessly, I also purchased a double bass pedal and have no issues triggering, I recommend this to anyone needing a replacement in this price range, I couldn’t be happier. It shipped next day after ordering and arrived quick, packaged well if you’re looking for a pad instead of more expensive mesh head type kick do it, it rocks

Good luck trying to catch Yamaha slipping
WHOA! Yamaha NEver lets me down. There is no stopping the power of Yamaha, there should be an ad in the alesis intro kits for this bass pad. Strong, sturdy, responsive and just such a great and needed product for any e drummers. About the whole " you have to hit it to hard" argument....there isn't one... you are drumming even if on an electric kick so stomp like the whole band has to follow you... oh wait they do. DRUM on and thanks sooo much yamaha ( I also have a rgx a2 electric made by them and its incredible and under 6 pounds!)
