It took quite a while to break in - lots of crunching noises from a layer inside. But that's gone after a month or two of use. The pad still doesn't always register when I hit it - I think it is worst with the down arrow, but happens with others at times, too. Update 12/25/25 After using this pad for over a year, I declare it is properly broken in. No weird noises, no poorly registering arrows (only user error). Too bad it took a year to break in.
