Exceeding Expectations.
Was Skeptical At First, Due Entirely To Other Reviews About The Pad. As Soon As It Arrived (When It Said It Would) I Immediately Took It Out Of It’s Secured Packaging To Test The Pad. Right From The Box, It Worked Without A Hitch. Just Plug N’ Play. No USB Slot (Thankfully). Very Responsive, It Does Slide On Carpet, But I Expected As Such. If You’re Interested In Buying A Pad, You Can’t Go Wrong With This One. For The Price And Packaging Alone, Is Worth It. It Doesn’t Feel Cheap, And The Cord Is A Generous Length. 5/5 Would Buy Again!

Works well; remember to use the sticky pads.
A more accurate rating is probably a 3.5; the first dance pad I received didn't work at ALL and the plug seemed almost like it didn't fit the port for my PS2 (I had a lot of trouble plugging it in at first for some reason, although I didn't force it in). The second one I received - after returning the first - works perfectly. A minor drawback is that the manual is in pretty poorly translated English, but it's not difficult to understand. One thing to keep in mind with this dance mat is that you WILL need the sticky cardboard pieces that come with it, as this dance pad is pretty slippery. I've been playing for nearly a decade without utilizing them, but I found after playing some fast-paced songs - as well as some other miscellaneous songs on heavy - that the pad bunches up and moves around much more easily than I've been used to.

Slides around and is not responsive
I Bought this mat along with the Konami DDR Supernova2 Bundle (in order to get a total of 2 mats). The mat in the Konami bundle works well. This one does not. The Konami mat has a rubbery bottom surface that does not slide or warp as you dance. This one slides all around and bunches up while dancing. The plastic material is thin and slick and is the same on top and bottom. The kids say you have to stomp harder to get it to register. The bad materials basically make it impossible to dance on successfully. Kids scoring a perfect on the Konami mat will fail on this mat. Move along, this is not the mat you are looking for...

Love DDR!
I love playing DDR and for the longest time I only had one generic dance pad. It was fine for a while until I started having more people interested in playing with me. Taking turns was not an option, so I went on the hunt for an inexpensive dance mat that would be what I needed. Instead of buying just one, I bought two of these and they are great! They are exactly what I was looking for and really do the job!! I have had zero issues with them and would highly recommend these if anyone is needing a replacement mat or just wants to try it out! The dancing games are really fun and these mats really work great!

Don't buy a super exspensive metal pad
I always wanted a cobalt flux! when I finally had the money to purchase one. They had stopped making them : ( . I had played on one years ago and was so in love. I went on Ebay ugh why why did I do that!!! I purchased a 100$ metal pad .....came didn't work....complained...they sent another...didn't work...I took them apart. I'm not a tech dummy. I could build my own. I just work so damn much and really don't have time. That's what I get for being lazy lol! Ugh the wiring and everything was just a joke...as though they weren't even made to work......ah a scam. Poor DDR fans..... so I came to Amazon and bought the usual cheapy and it works GREAT : )

Slippery dancepad
If you're looking for a dancemat like the original konami ones for the PS2, this is not it. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere. As the title suggests, the mat is quite slippery to use because it lacks the antislip material inside the mat that the original mats had. This doesn't necessarily make a huge difference when you play the 1 step every two second songs in DDR, but once the songs pick up speed, aka anything above beginner difficulty, you'll feel the top layer of the mat slip on the lower layer when you hit the arrows at a slight angle, making it hard to trust and easy to hurt yourself because of sudden slips. That aside it feels precise when hitting the arrows, though I have noticed some 'ghost steps' hitting when there's a break in the steps. I'd only recommend this mat if you're either: 1) Not planning to play any fast songs 2) Not afraid to hurt yourself when you slip ( and you WILL slip) 3) Really nostalgic about DDR 4) close enough to not pay out the nose for freight.

Nice mat but slides like crazy
The mat is a good replacement to the original, the controls are sensitive and you don’t have to stomp to get it to work. However, the back of the mat is slick and you will slide all over the place, it’s almost hazardous. It came with stickers to help it stick to your playing surface but I don’t want a DDR mat taped to the middle of the living room.
