1L White ABS Filter Cap for Floetrol Jug Cap

The cap works GREAT! The only issue I have is that Floetrol tends to be very thin and due to the amount of time it sits in a warehouse or on a store shelf, it can get quite lumpy. The cap works great for catching the lumps, but it can be quite a pain to have to keep unscrewing the lidwhatl and removing the lumps so the liquid can flow again.

Great invention especially when I tried through panty hose and lost lots of Floetrol!

This cap is a time saver and extremely easy to use. Quickly wash after use and you can use for a long time. I forgot to wash immediately after use and ended up tossing it and just bought a new one.

The congealed Floetrol has to be cleaned out regularly, but hot water does the trick. Sometimes, the holes need to be reopened with a probe or needle.

Works great, with one exception, use a double layered piece of pantyhose/nylon stretched over the opening, then screw this on and squeeze. I would say this method catches over 90% of all the chunkies and gunk in this stuff, although it was a huge pain in the ass on the gallon jug. I purchased a set of wide mouth 12oz squeeze bottles, and just filled them all right away with the strained floetrol. Just remember to wash it when you’re done using it. - Cut about a 3-4 inch piece of pantyhose and fold it in half, so you’re actually straining with 4 layers of nylon. Hold over bottle opening and lightly stretch, then screw the strainer lid over it. You are then able to squeeze into a different container. *Picture with gunk on pantyhose is after filling only 1 12oz bottle

It’s fantastic. I don’t know what I’d do without it lol. Fits seamlessly on both the small and big containers of Floetrol. No chunks, no issues with clogging, the cap fits overtop of it and screws on just fine. No complaints! So I didn’t want to put this in a review and still maintaining a 5 star review because this thing is a lifesaver, but this is the first cap we bought on jan14,2020, we just purchased another on March 6 because the original is cracking pretty badly, I am wondering if this can be printed out of a stronger material to increase lifespan of the product? Also we have not started using the new one yet and it has been redesigned from the original but is now thinner so I fear that will make it weaker and prone to cracking faster. *** second edit April 12th: the cap has now started disintegrating. It worked well for a few weeks and then just started falling apart. So if you’re looking for a long term solution, this is not it.

It works great but the price is pretty steep for a piece of plastic. You can attach some wire mesh for the same effect for less than a dollar. Yes it’s convenient but with only one seller on here that offers it, they definitely are taking advantage of price inflation.
