3-Year Review This rechargeable battery-powered backpack sprayer has been an outstanding investment. It features a durable, well-built design and comes with multiple spray nozzles, making it versatile for a wide range of applications. I primarily use it for applying pesticides and weed killer, ensuring I thoroughly clean it between uses. Compared to a manual pump sprayer—which previously took me 1–2 hours per job—this unit has significantly improved my efficiency. The battery-powered system eliminates the need for constant pumping, and does it on its own allowing for consistent pressure and a more powerful spray. One of its most valuable features is its extended reach, enabling me to spray up to 10–15 feet if not more when needed, such as reaching higher areas without wasting product. With this sprayer, I can now complete most jobs in under 30 minutes. After three years of use (approximately 10 times per year if not more), it remains in excellent condition and continues to perform reliably. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking to save time, reduce effort, and improve overall efficiency.

Excellent sprayer and ran perfect the first few uses. It then wouldn’t hold a charge, so I replaced the battery. New battery worked great, but same issue again when trying to charge. I contacted customer support and Anne was very helpful and shipped me an entire new sprayer within a week. Highly recommended if you want to work with a company that’s willing to stand behind their product and has great customer support.

Purchased this battery backpack sprayer in March 2024. I have been impressed with the batteries longevity lasting 6 hours or more on a charge. Using the correct nozzle I can easily spray nearly 20 feet up into the trees for insect control. With a full tank of 4 gallons the capacity is sufficient and is well balanced on the shoulders making it easy to use. It was an excellent value and I would not hesitate to purchase one again. This year (2026) the battery would not charge so I contacted Petra Customer Service and spoke to Christina. She didn't hesitate to take care of my problem. I am totally impressed with their service and attention to the needs of their customer. Not to mention the fact that an actual person answers the phone. Thanks Christina for your excellent service!

This is pretty awesome. It's US-made, works as advertised, and is high-quality. The spray time, build quality, and durability aren't just marketing claims about what it can do; it works as advertised. The customer service is top-notch. We accidentally short-circuited the power pack on an out-of-warranty unit, and Anne in tech support sent us a new replacement anyway, just to get us back up and running. We like these so much, we bought two. It's definitely worth what it costs.

Customer support (Christina) is outstanding and the sprayer is great as well. I am giving 5 stars specifically for the customer support and would give the product 4 stars. The product is outstanding and is so much better than the old pump sprayer I previously used to spray my lawn for moss and weeds. 4 gallons is 2x the capacity (at little heavy but worth it; also the product has nice padded shoulder straps) and the 5 heads and continuous pump from the electric motor cuts the application time by around 4x the pump sprayer. Overall product construction is very good. However, I have had is with leaks on the hose both at the connection to the sprayer pump/tank and at the wand. Fortunately, Christina in customer support immediately shipped me the hose replacement and wand on/off portion at no cost under warranty. IMO, the product should have metal threads on each end of the hose connection. They already have a metal threaded connection from the hose to the tank but the hose to the wand is plastic and can easily tread if overtighten (which very easy to do especially if having a light leak). If PetraTools upgraded the wand to hose connector to metal, I believe the product would be 5 stars all day long!

I have had this sprayer since August of 2024. My lot is 1.5 acres, too big for a hand pump sprayer and not big enough for a tractor sprayer. I love it. I spray herbicide, insecticide and pre-emergent. There are a number of different spray heads. I can efficiently spray large patches of gravel, or get up high in the fruit trees. I pulled it out to get ready for spring this last Saturday. I had left it on over the winter, so the battery was dead. I plugged in the charger and the light on the charger wasn't lighting up. I tried it on several outlets, to no avail. I called Petra Tools and spoke to a lovely person named Anne. She had me try a couple of things and then sent me a text asking for my order number, I got on to Amazon, looked up my order history and sent her a screen shot. She immediately replied and said that she has put put a new charger in the mail and I should have it in the next couple of days. I love outstanding service. The sprayer is great and so is the customer service.

I like the sprayer, but on just the 2nd use of it the sprayer wand had multiple hairline cracks which made the wand useless. I had to go to the PetraTools website and purchase the stainless steel wand to replace the junk plastic wand that came with the sprayer. For the amount of money this sprayer costs… you would think they would just make it standard for the unit to come with the stainless steel wand. Other than that, no issues so far.

Good size does the job

I finally got around to using the backpack sprayer. The machine charged up well. The dial allows you to select the strength. This is being used to spray dormant oil on apple trees. The nozzle is adjustable. This is way better than the pump sprayers I had been using over the years and the sprayer completely covered the trees. It does use up the liquid but it aerosolizes the solution well. Make sure you wear an N95 mask and stay down wind of this machine. The pack does have some weight to it before you add the spray solution. Over all this is a good back sprayer that can be used for many different uses.

This sprayer works great! We use it everyday for about 2-3 hours. Very heavy use!!! The battery after 8 months started to fail holding a charge. I contacted Petra Tools and chatted with Christina. She quickly determined I needed to replace it. They sent out new battery right away and I will have it within the week. Top notch customer service and great product.

I have only used the sprayer a couple of times but I'm quite impressed by how solid it is, it's durable and will hopefully stand up to the rigours or regular use! It is a little uncomfortable though as it's quite square, so when you fill the tank it can dig in to your lower back, I'm not worried about this though as I have some rugged foam padding to stick along the bottom which should sort it! There's a good range of accessories and nozzles so I should have the kit for every different job I encounter. Still early days but I'm really impressed by the price and build, would highly recommend to anyone thinking of purchasing! 😁👍
