EZRED SP101 Battery Hydrometer, Factory

Does EXACTLY what it’s supposed to do! As forklift mechanic we’re contacting acid levels in our electric forklift batteries and this gets the job done quick and efficiently!

I use this to check SG off a forklift battery that I'm using in my off-grid solar system.It seems to be working and SG tracks voltage as expected. It's easy to use and does the job. I didn't know how accurate it is as I didn't have anything to compare it to.I have a couple of criticisms, I wish it had numbers marked between fair and good so I don't have to estimate, and I see small cracking around the edges which I know can come from the method used to weld the 2 halves together or if solvent is used to clean it in the manufacturing process, but to be fair, I have also left this under the metal cover of my battery outside, so it has been exposed to the elements and temperature swings below freezing. So far no leaks but even if the long term durability isn't there, it's cheap enough to just buy another one.

Seems to work well… But can anyone tell me where the “Fahrenheit & Celsius scales” are located? 🤣

Worked well for monitoring/bringing back 6v batteries on my lift. Batteries were charging for 3days while I monitored the PH with this tool and was able to see it increasing daily vs assuming if batteries were improving.Let's you know if they'll hold a charge or if you're wasting your time charging. Use only "distilled" water if refurbishing/filling

Works very well. Excellent build quality. Ease of use and design is good. Able to use as a transfer from one cell to another. I squeeze the top slowly to absorb the material into unit. Extremely sensitive readings with this product which worked great for me. Do not breathe the fumes so this works very well in doing that. Be safe. Wash it up and put unit back into the package it came in. Awesome. Thanks

Thanks Amazon Prime for the over night delivery, you confirmed that my battery's had nothing but water in them, I tried to restore some golf cart Trojan T-105 , never buy a battery powered golf cart, never, gas only, Lithium are junk also, I never have to touch my Yamaha gas cart , the other one has wasted 2,000 in 2 sets of battery's, junk, so any how I tried to restore the T-105 using Project Farm method, youtube,DC welder, etc,etc, could not achieve the correct 6.5 volt charge, and it failed under load, with no reserve capacity, any how , the tester is great, thx's Prime at least your doing what you promised.Also I recommend flush it out with fresh water after testing , you can do what you want...

I'm so glad I spent the extra few bucks to get this battery tester over the basic ones. It's high quality, Made in USA. It has the specific gravity numbers, which I was looking for, as this gives you more information to work with. It does have the "Low, Fair, Good" indicators too, but having specific numbers just provides you with a better understanding on the health of your battery.The indicators are also PRINTED on the plastic, instead of a sticker that over time gets peeled off from acid or just regular use and then you're stuck with a uselesss piece of plastic. Big plus!I actually read the directions for once and washed it out with soapy water and multiple clear water rinses afterwards. I want to take care of this since it's well made. I'd recommend this!

The hydrometer is small so the volume of electrolyte that must be drawn is small. This is important for small batteries such as the one in the Honda CRV. The device can be easily leveled by just sighting the water surface and comparing to a line near the top of the device. The pointer is small, and the markings on the surface are precise.I did discover some problems at about 3 years, and removed two stars due to these problems. 1. The case develops some severe radial stress cracks, eventually leaking. 2. The markings began transferring from the hydrometer to the plastic bag, making reading difficult. I rinse the device and store it in the bag in which it was originally packaged, 3. There seems to be a compatibility issue between the plastic and the rubber tube, as the plastic softened where the tube contacted it. I now remove the rubber tube for storage, but it will still glue itself to the plastic if ittouches.

An sich ein gutes Produkt.Es ist gut ablesbar, für meine Zwecke musste ich den Schlauch abändern.Das Gehäuse war jedoch an der Klebung der Gehäusehälften undicht. Das bedeutet, es zieht beim Einsaugen der Säure Luft. Eventuell durch den Transport verursacht, da nur in einer Papiertüte verschickt.Ich hätte das am liebsten reklamiert, aber durch die lange Lieferzeit habe ich mir die Mühe gespart und stattdessen das Gehäuse geklebt.Funktioniert jetzt wie es soll.Entweder besser verarbeiten oder besser verpacken wäre sinnvoll.
