Excellent product
This wrench is excellent, happy to find a quality made in USA, (well sort of, it's assembled in the US with some Asian components), tool that's affordable. If I had the $$$ I would have gone with the true overpriced Snapon product for $350+ but this is fine. In comparison with my Snapon wrench it is a little lighter and appears to be less robust, if I used this tool every day I'd go with the Snapon, for the weekender I highly recommend CDI. The only grip I have is the little direction lever is too easy to change, it's very easy to put it in the wrong position, not a deal breaker just a pain. Love the button release that Sears used to have. Comes with plastic case as well.

High Quality Foot-Pound Torque Wrench
CDI (owned by Snap-On) makes this click type torque wrench and it is definitely solidly made and is professional quality. It comes with calibration paperwork in a good molded plastic case. I had a couple of lesser quality 1/2" drive foot-lb torque wrenches and I wanted to get a higher quality foot-lb torque wrench with a 3/8" drive for quite some time, so I decided to go top-drawer. I had a lot of major engine work to do on a swapped-in V8 engine in my Jeep earlier this year and this torque wrench definitely got a work out. It is easy to use and the settings are very readable. Highly recommended!

work well. high quality. be careful with directional selector
cdi torque wrenches work great. only thing that gets me in trouble is the ease of flipping the directional lever...every now and again i inadvertently and unknowingly switch it from clockwise to center position, which removes the torque setting. I pay extra attention when using in soft metal or critical applications. I have a couple different cdi torque wrenches. they appear to be of much higher quality than the box store versions i had before. My wife uses the 1/2 cdi torque wrench to torque down the wheel lug nuts with no issue

Great Tool
I own several CDI torque wrenches, this is why: First, they look good -- chrome plating with laser etched markings makes a tool that looks great and will be easy to clean. I know its just a tool, but having a tool that looks good in your hand is more fun to use. On this particular model, the main graduations are in 5 lb. increments with .5 graduations around the dial. So each full turn of the handle is a 5 lb increase/decrease. Simply pull back on the spring loaded sleeve and rotate the handle to make adjustments. Let go and it locks right in. Others I have used have a locking dial on the handle end which can become loose and you lose your setting. The ratcheting head on this particular model does not have a locking ball to hold the socket like the other CDI torque wrenches I own. It still has a spring loaded ball catch however it just doesn't have the locking button on top of the head. I haven't found this to be a nuisance; the socket stays on anyway. The ratcheting head has three positions forward, reverse, and locked in (or not ratcheting) with the middle setting. CDI has excellent customer support. I contacted them prior to ordering and a tech was easy to contact spent plenty of time explaining the specifics of their wrenches. I called the tech for an explanation on accuracy ratings. To summarize, this wrench is accurate within +/- 4% indicated reading from 20% to 100% of full scale -- my certificate of calibration states values much lower than this (from .5 - 2.5%). Accuracy from 20% to 100% is industry standard though some torque wrench's will be accurate to +/- 3%. In this case 20% of 75 ft/lb is 15 ft/lb. So this tool will be increasingly less accurate the farther below 15 ft/lb you go. This is due to lack of compression on the spring in the lowest 20%. Really this wrench should be labeled as a 15 - 75 ft/lb wrench, corresponding to the included certificate of calibration (meaning: my certificate of calibration labels this wrench as 15 - 75 ft/lb). Just know that with ANY spring type click wrench the low capability should be 20% of max even if dial will indicate a lower setting.

Broke the bolt in transmission. Did not click
At lower torque settings it does not click. I set it to 7ft*lb (10Nm) and it did not click at all. As a result, now I have one broken bolt in Automatic Transmission and possibly another one will break if I would try to remove it. I can only assume that this was a defective wrench and that it is not like this by design. It does click at higher torque settings. Now I will have to spend $100s to fix this mess (hopefully it can be fixed). Not worth the price. I went for this model because of "Made in the USA" but now I do not know what to think about it.

Good tool
Iโve had a 1/2โ drive 20-150 CDI wrench, and needed something for lower torque applications, so I picked up one of these. Iโve used it a number of times already and I have not seen any of the issues that other bad reviews have stated. The torque clicks may not be loud, but they are audible enough, and can be felt through the tools.

Well worth the price
I bought the 1/2-inch and 3/8-inch CDI torque wrenches from Amazon two weeks ago. I've since had the opportunity to use both while replacing CV axles on my car. They exceeded my expectations: They're easy to adjust, and the "torque click" is pronounced. Equally important, the pair cost less than half of the price of a single 1/2-inch (digital) torque wrench from SnapOn. My only (small) complaint is the reversing switch/lever on the smaller tool. It's easily moved to a neutral or reverse position. Not a big deal for me, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Motorcycle
Bought a BMW R1250R and all the torque values are quite low. My truck wrenches are too high range to serve well. This 5-75#/ft seems like a perfect solution.

Solid, accurate, and well-made torque wrench that covers a very useful range. The only thing I wish it had were markings that cover both ft-lbs and N-m. So if you have torque figures in N-m, you have to use a convertor to convert to ft-lbs in order to use this wrench.

I had a difficult time finding an affordable wrench in this torque range. This one fir the bill. Very happy with it.

A great product from the finish to the lock style, "clicks" can be felt even when noise is an issue. The price was very good compared to other supply stores. I've used alot of other torque wrenches and this one is top notch. The only issue, like most others, is reading the lines for setting the torque, they could be darker and bolder, but a great buy.

Poor quality control (it clearly wasn't tested before sending it out). It didn't work in ANY ft/lb ranges.
