The be(a)st of oscillating multifunction tools
These really are my go-to tools for making cuts in tight, restricted spaces and/or when precision really matters. I bought this oscillating multi-function tool after the Chicago Electric one I bought from Harbor Freight about three years ago burnt itself out. I had paid $30 or so for that one -- a fantastic value, considering the use I had gotten out of it. However, considering how much I rely upon this tool, I decided to go ahead and upgrade to one for a little over double the price but which packed the most power possible. Most oscillating tools on the market top out at 3 amps. There are a few which boast 4 amps. However, this one delivers 5 AMPS -- the most on the market, as far as I am aware. Plus, this being an "off-brand" (i.e., not Dewalt or Bosch) you are getting that 5 amps for what those other brands would charge you for 4 amps. In addition, it's got a bit more of a side-to-side vibration radius than most competitors, giving the cuts a little more of an aggressive bite. I was initially a bit suspicious of the "quick change" mechanism -- my experience of it based on another brand has not been positive (it held the blades too loosely, and let them eventually vibrate right off) and for that reason I'd rather just have a good old fashioned bolt to tighten my blade down securely. However, this quick change mechanism seems very competently designed and the little holding teeth the holes in the blade fit down onto are quite a bit higher than that of the competitors, allowing far less opportunity for blade slippage even at high rates of oscillation (I've had other brands shake loose). Plus, oscillating tool blades manufactured by a variety of companies will be perfectly compatible with this particular design. Now, let's get to the part which really matters: PERFORMANCE. This thing is a BEAST. Even with a finer-toothed blade used for cutting metal and plastic (I was initially cutting through some wayward old nails), it was moving through some 2x4 framing at a rapid, steady, and smooth pace--almost like a knife though butter. This would have caused some of the less powerful oscillating tools I've had experience with to slow and choke up a bit. I can't wait to see what it does with the long, sharp teeth of an actual hardwood blade! As far as the protruding old nails -- it took care of them handily, without the blade either getting blunted and scorched (I was using a titanium coated blade but it still happens if under-powered) or bashing the nail back and forth under the oscillations rather than cutting through it. I've no doubt this tool is going to make my work a lot more efficient.

Very powerful, but broke down at 10 minutes of light use, - updated: works great
Ordered this item for some light grout removal. The original unit had a touchy on/off switch and would not always start. After about 10 minutes, it broke down completely and would not start at all. This was very disappointing because while it did run, it was powerful and removed grout like hot knife through butter. Super convenient! I received the replacement promptly the next day, but that unit does not appear to be new but refurbished - there are scuff marks and dirt marks on the body but the extra parts in bag are new. Will keep this second unit and update the review upward if it holds up. Update: Replacement unit works perfectly fine, making light work of removing grout for replacing travertine tiles. As I said originally, the unit is very very powerful. It’s a great addition to my tool set.

Lots of power, comfortable to use, decent build quality
MUCH more power than my Porter-Cable 20V cordless version - Doesn't stop oscillating, no matter how hard you push it! Slices through 2x4's and nails with little effort. Also much quieter than my P-C. The soft-start feature is nice - No sudden, uncontrolled tool movement as it starts up. The quick-release attachment holder works well - Only takes a few seconds to change attachments. Overall, it feels like a quality-built tool. The only exception the control foot and gearbox top cover, both of which are made of relatively light plastic - would prefer to see aluminum castings instead. Also, when not extended, the control foot prevents the side handle from being threaded into the casting on the left side of the tool housing - a glaring design oversight. Long-term reliability is an unknown - as is warranty support - but for only approx. 50 bucks, it's probably worth the gamble.

Good tool but order more blades
This seems like a very sturdy tool, and it made short work of the job for which I needed it. Since that job was cutting through relatively soft wood, I can't attest to how it would do on more demanding projects. I do believe it will suffice for jobs around my apartment. You will want to order more blades as it comes with only three. You might want to consider one of the kits that includes a large variety of blades. I think that would be a better deal.

Cuts very fast
This tool is a little bigger and heaver than most multi-tools but it is powerful and cuts at least 2x faster than others that I have used. Vibration and noise seem to be less also. It seems to be well made but I have only used it for a few minutes. Well after more than a year the tool is still going strong. This was a great value.

Well worth the price, and can handle hard work
I loved this thang, I had to remove an old vinyl 15x20 floor, I dont know.what I would have.done without it, VERY EASY to use, I mostly used the scrape blade, and I used the cutting blades for the door jams, more useful then the two men I hired to do the job to begin with. I very much would recomend it, and get another if I had to, but as much as I used it, and dropped it a time or two, it still runs like a champ!!!

Better Than Most! A Must Have Tool
I’ve owned all the other high end names and after 6 months of daily, heavy construction use, I can say without hesitation this multi tool from Wisetool passed the test with ease. The extra powerful 5 amp 600 watt motor just rips through everything with ease and quickly. And having a dial to turn down the power for more delicate jobs is fantastic. Best tool in my arsenal. It has made a lot of friends on the job sites and a few angry about how much they paid for their name brand. They paid double or triple the price and they still can’t perform as well as this Wisetool. I’m very impressed and so happy I found it. Definitely my go to tool for any job.

Very powerful and still works. BUT!
The issue I have is the blade attachment head. I have to pry the head up with a screw driver after flipping the attachment lever. The pins don't clear the blade to install or remove the blade.

I bought this to cut away existing trim when installing custom millwork and it worked very well. I really like the soft start feature so it doesn't twist in your hands at the beginning of a cut. I bought the 400 watt model since I don't think I'll need the added power (or weight!) of the 600 watt model. I suppose the 600 watt model might be a bit more versatile for heavy jobs but this works for me.

We got this tool 3 days ago, considering the price, the machine is great, 5 Amp is enough for most of the woodwork, my father likes it, but the one we get has some power connection issue. It dies during work very frequently. We have returned it and buying another one.

This multi tool is a beast. If you are looking for powerhouse tool, look no further. It is a little big and certainly heavier then any other multi tool I have owned but it is up to any job you can throw at it. The release for the blades is very tight and somewhat difficult to operate but certainly clamps down with lots of holding power.

I’ve used this tool on a few jobs now over the last 6 months. I have nothing to complain about. Should have bought one a long time ago.

It looked like it would be perfect for our project but would not power up/turn on when it arrived. Returned it but still waiting for the refund. Should note this was quite heavy
