I ordered it for my RV which had plenty of space to mount it. PLEASE NOTE that this can NOT be mounted on the exterior of a vehicle. If it gets just a few drops of rain water down the horns, they stop working. You then have to take each horn apart and dry a small, flimsy plastic disc. So after remounting the horn facing down towards the road, it still wasn't very loud. I contacted WOLO and for $58 they sent my an upgraded air compressor that they said would maximize the horn. Why they don't just include this model compressor with the horn in the first place is beyond me. When it arrived it looks exactly like the stock compressor, no markings or model numbers anywhere on either compressor. For all I know, I now own two of the same compressor. Upon hooking it up, I am still very unimpressed with the horn. The sound is what you hear in the recording, but it is far from being the loud sound you'd expect from something so large. I really wish that I had not ordered the other compressor, or thrown the box away, otherwise I would return it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice quality horns, just not that loud *by A***S on October 4, 2011* I like the horns they are well made, heavy duty even. They are not that loud at all, you can barely hear them with my diesel truck running and I have the hose to the compressor under 8" no kinks, I will be upgrading to compressed air tank system anyway so not a big deal, but I still thought they would be a little louder.!!!UPDATE!!! 2/22/14 I bought a compressor at Harbor Freight for 39 dollars and also bought a solenoid on here for 20 and a 2000 watt inverter for 75 on here as well, also the inverter has a remote that I bought seprate so I can turn it on and off whenever; I just put it in the center console. TALK ABOUT LOUD! I could tell many story's about how loud it is. With this setup I am louder than all other train horns out there and there are a lot down here the valley of the sun(except the real train horns that are over a 1000 dollars). So now I have on board air and enough power to light a home or run multiple power tools at once. The compressor is also good enough to air up any size tire and even run air tools. I am sure these horns are way more quality than any other out there I can see the difference when people ask me what they are and we compare. These are three years and going strong. I have a f350 longbed crewcab so all this fits perfect under the bed. If you have a large truck, this is the setup for you. All my buddies are jealous; and I use the air and the power all the time; and it all started with just these horns. Have it mounted on our boat and the sound really carries across water.
