Hi all, before i buy this tool, i wanted to n know will it detect a bad sensor? i have the warning " tyre sensors not detected" chers

Don't think so. If its the same as the VXDAS tool I have (looks phyically different) it just wakes sensors up when you hold it close and press the button (i.e. normally sensors are only woken by the wheel turning and for the relearn process you want to do one at a time not all at once). That's great for relearning sensor IDs but is all it does. It just emits a signal and doesn't even know whether the sensors are out there. If you use it and the car now sees a given sensor that wasn't seen before, then at least you know the main receiver on the car is working and you perhaps have a sensor that isn't waking up when the wheel spins; BUT if you use it and nothing changes, then you're none the wiser

If i install new tpms sensors in my winter wheel set, i then use this for my mokka to recognise the new sensors? Is this correct?

If your tpms on your winter wheels are cloned to the ones that you have already on your car then you can use it for the new ones
