The other one will sometimes lift, sometimes squat, and he sticks to the edge of the pad. Mind you, both typically go outside, but one is quite old and the other goes - a lot! So we keep the pad with this by the back door and we'll find that even if we let them out regularly, the lifter will use this occasionally, too. When it's raining, they use the pad more often and lifter goes right on the hydrant every time! We're in the Pacific Northwest, so sand isn't something we can get to easily.
