Plays and sounds great
I recently bought a used dreadnaught acoustic guitar and it needed new strings. It had a 12-52 set and they were a little rough on my fingers. I went with these Martin light gauge 10-47 Phosphor Bronze strings. I adjusted the truss rod and lowered the action on this guitar and with the new strings It plays like a million bucks. It's rare to find a light gauge string set with a wound G string. This set has a wound G which I prefer over a plain G string. Usually when you go with lighter gauge strings you sacrifice sound quality. That is NOT the case with these Martin light gauge strings. They sound amazing! Great depth and projection. I can't predict how long they will last. So far they have been on for a week with no problems. Broken strings are usually the fault of the guitar or the installation. Everybody thinks they know how to restring a guitar but only a few know how to do it properly. If you are breaking strings when you're installing them, then you're doing something wrong or have a problem with your guitar that needs to be corrected.

These strings made my guitar sound WAY more expensive.
Martin Authentic Acoustic Guitar Strings, Superior Performance Extra Light 10-47, 92/8 Phosphor Bronze I was amazed at the TONE these strings gave my OrangeWood Mason Torrified Spruce ES Live guitar. It was the tone I've always wanted. Deep rich bass with unmuddled mids and a nice high end without being too bright. However, I don't think I got the 10-47 gauge strings I ordered. And the packaging was long gone before I came to that conclusion. I really think I got 12's or higher. I found them difficult to actually PLAY. So much so that I stopped playing much for awhile because it hurt my fingers. I replaced them with a set of D'Addarios 10s and the playability came back but the tone went away. Don't get me wrong, the OrangeWood still sounds good, just not AS good.

Lifespan of quality
It never really lost that prosper bronze sound. Most strings turn into a boring sound after 3-7 days but these kept it for way longer.

Just testing strings
Wish I had bought the thicker gauge guitar strings. The sound it produces is not for me.

I Love These Strings
These are brighter and more responsive than any other strings The 1st, 2nd and 3rd strings have a bell-like quality that I really enjoy. I have used on my acoustic guitars. 5-Stars.

Perfect for parlor size acoustic guitar
I like this phosphorus bronze a lot. Guitar is a little smaller parlor size, mahogany all around acoustic electric (passive/ no battery/ no knobs). I play with Behringer ACX 450 acoustic amp combo all the time and these MA 530 sounds the best. They sound great both plugged and unplugged. Nice warm balanced tone and easy on the fingers. Bronze strings are too bright and louder. Phosphorus bronze is just perfect. Lower volume if I play unplugged but if I need more volume I can always plug in.

Martin quality. Chimey!
Martin Marquis strings have always been my go-to strings, but I would thought I would try these just to try something different. And they are remarkable. I am very glad I went with them.

Fine strings for fine guitars
The Martin extra light strings have a great sound and also prevent excess tension on saddle and bridge that your thicker gauge strings will cause. This will prevent the tension from strings causing saddle body underneath saddle to become convex in shape. Which in turn will make strings become further away from guitar fingerboard.

I did not rate longevity as I just put them on my guitar. If they want me to rate longevity they should wait a year. The sound quality is excellent and they are easy on the fingers. I will buy them again but if the longevity is good it may be a while before I do.
