2026 - 13th year. No change. Just as happy with it as always. I now have about 7 PC, laptops, or mini PCs in the household but most of them don't require the attention that my main two devices need. And in 2025, I think I only used 2 of the 3 subscriptions so will likely share the 3rd subscription with someone else this year. They could offer a bit more freedom to do things like for example, the Firewall could automatically block the right files in a folder if I tell it which one to target instead of leaving me to find and block each individual file that I am suspicious of. An estimation of how long a scan would take would be nice too. Some of my custom scans that I would expect would take 30 mins can sometimes take 4 hours if the device feels like it. No one is really doing this I think, but it would be great if they could look in to ways of protecting against Steganography (virus and malware code hidden in pictures and other files and as you open more files, parts of the code goes in to your memory to build an actual attack). ------------------ 2025 - Probably my 12th year using this and I am happy to continue just as long as the service remains the same and they continue to be rated one of the best, with an acceptable price. Modern computers don't really need 3rd party Internet Security software for the average basic computer users but because I am a bit adventurous on one PC and reckless on another, a safety net like this really helps. I do virus scans once a month and I like the setting that makes it skip a file if the file is old and hasn't changed since the last scan. This speeds up how long a scan takes. Without the above setting, a scan on my computer with the number of files and processes that I run can take upwards of 10 hours. Being able to customise a virus scan means I can do periodic quick tests on parts of my system or deep through scans on everything. The firewall helps a lot for peace of mind when it comes to stopping products from phoning home to report on my computer. All the other features don't get as much use from me but they come in helpful now and then. This is an easy recommendation to people who rely on me for PC support.

Could not find any cheap renewal codes for Kaspersky after using for many years so changed to Bitdefender. I subcribe to WHICH and Bitdefender is their number one recommendation for a paid anti virus. My 11 year old laptop seemed to be slowing down but after uninstalling Kaspersky and now using Bitdefender it is definetly more responsive. Works well for me.

To get started with Bitdefender, you need a Bitdefender account together with your saved payment details for auto-renewal. No payment is taken immediately. Auto-renewal may be cancelled before the renewal date. You can download the software onto a chosen device, and the subscription shows this device by the name you have chosen for it. If you have more than one subscription, you can change which device is associated with which subscription. If restoring a device to an earlier time via a System Image file, it's not clear what impact this will have on subscription information. If removing a device from a subscription and subsequently re-adding it to the same subscription, it's not clear what impact this will have on subscription information. If changing the name of a device already assigned to a subscription, it's not clear what impact this will have on subscription information. Stub-installer and automatic update prevents a User from running an older version of program. User can disable the program from running, and select the duration. Program version doesn't have a 'build version' as well. Program doesn't have to be configured with lots of tick-boxes before using. Saved Scheduled scans can be edited to start earlier or later. Scans can be paused or stopped. Animated icon shows in system tray when scan is running. Multiple scans can run at the same time, each scan has its own animated systray icon. If a scan has been missed because device was turned on too late, it will run at next log-on. If device is unused for 2 days, all missed scans will not be run at next log-on. If device is unused for more than 2 days, all missed scans will run at next log-on. There's no option to disable a scheduled scan from running if missed. Scheduled scans can be run on the hour, or plus/minus 30 minutes. Scheduled Default System scans and Quick scans run only once per day, unless rescheduled after they have run. The User has no control over which files are selected for Quick or System scans. A Custom scan can exclude CD drive and USB sticks. Any number of Custom scans can be created to run at various times on the same day. A virtual disk named Bitdefender Virtual Disk 32 MB is created and identified as Disk 1 Bitdefender will not run if BitLocker Drive Encryption Service BDESVC has stopped. I found that this was because Updated Secure Boot certificates had not yet been applied to the Firmware. A few days later this problem appeared to be fixed, but Event Viewer > Windows Logs > System continues to show this every few days as a red Error Event ID 1801. In spite of this, Bitdefender continues to work, and the systray icon maintains the normal red background. Program has both 'light' and 'dark' modes. Good Support provided over telephone.

Don't expect painless installation, download to computer ok, but on android phone for some reason download started 14 day trial and when this expired I cannot simply transfer over, for some reason software has latched onto some phone that isn't even mine. Customer support simply sends you a screenshot of the activation page and a link that takes you back to your starting point. If your not techy avoid like the plague

You need to download the up-to-date version of Bitdefender Internet Security from the Bitdefender website. If you're a repeat customer, you just contact the Bitdefender site by clicking on the 'My Account' pane on the Bitdefender utility. * Commentary I ordered this Bitdefender Internet Security 2021 update because I have used this for several years and its one of the very best internet security utilities out there. It's not just me. If you Google AV labs, its tested many antivirus utilities and for seven years Bitdefender products have been among the top equal footing for years. It's coded in Romania. Its antivirus engines are used by other top-rated antivirus companies, such as Bullguard and F-Secure. Both of these are great too from experience. * The main features Its user interface has been altered. It's easy to get around. The main features are the usual Quick Scan, Full Scan. The Quick Scan looks in the most likely are and take 20 mins or so. The full scan on a quarter full terabyte drives took over several hours, as it looks for everything, everywhere Rootkits and all known malware. * Antivirus This is classed with the ability to protect with Online Threats, Firewall, Advanced Threat, Ransomeware. Remediation. I.M.H.O The firewall is bulletproof and highly recommended. * Privacy It has Safe Pay, which uses VPN with a hardened browser to make a secure connection to your bank. It's limited to 200 Meg per day, so it's not as good as some other VPN companies. But if it's just for your bank, all you want the VPN for, it's fine. there is a Password Manager, Parental Advisor and Notifications. * Summary I feel more secure using this Internet Security 2021. I am a repeated customer over several years standing. If your out for another Internet Security utility I humbly recommended F-Secure Internet Security too.

Good value works great

Ottimo antivirus che si installa in modo molto facile e veleoce. Molto leggero e non invasivo, non disturba mentre si lavora. Per il momento sembra funzionare egregiamente e la definizione dei virus viene aggiornata continuamente in automatico.

Resulta mucho más económico comprar una nueva licencia en Amazon que renovar la anterior (me pedían 30€). Llevo tres años usando este antivirus, y no he tenido ningún problema: me avisa de páginas bloqueadas y peligrosas, es fácil de usar (en realidad, casi todo es automático), y está muy bien valorado en los foros de internet.
