Great Dance Pad
Works wonderfully! Its really durable and the cord is quite long, giving you flexibility on where you place the mat. The included stickers for the bottom are a nice idea but they're pointless as they don't last through even the first session. But the mat itself is great. The sides zip up so you can replace the insert if you want / need to and for easy storage if you're taking it somewhere. Edit: I've noted that a lot of reviews mention tearing of the cover. I haven't seen this at all but everyone does the sock thing as opposed to keeping their shoes on or even playing barefoot. I'm uncertain if that's the difference but no tearing here. Also, it's been used by beginner to expert players. For the price its an excellent pad.

Good pad for the price
I play DDR 3+ times a week as a work out and after my previous pad went bad, I purchased this one based on the reviews. Product came quickly and was easy to put together. I loved the one inch foam insert, but after about two weeks I had to remove it because one of the arrows had stopped responding. Removing the insert fixed the problem. Even without the insert the pad was still thicker and better made then the others I had bought previously. After a few months, this pad is still working really well.

Well packed. Works perfectly.
Saw DDR in an arcade a couple of weeks ago, and decided to break out the old PS2 to play it at home. I have almost all of the DDR games. Unfortunately my mats were all trash. Probably because of improper storage. I looked at all of the mats (for ps2) on Amazon and they all have a portion of “doesn’t work” reviews. I took a leap of faith on this mat. It arrived today (albeit a week after the original estimated date of arrival...). It was packed loosely in an oversized box, and was in perfect condition. Plugged it in, and it works flawlessly. Even got a new record (in game), right out of the gate! I’ll update the review if it fizzles out. I also bought an (“OSTENT PS2 to Xbox 360 Controller/Wheel/Dance Pad Adapter Converter Compatible for Microsoft Xbox 360”) so that I can use the PS2 mat on the DDR games that I have for the Xbox 360, since the regular USB mats all say they are not compatible with Xbox 360 (even though it has USB ports for controller connections...). Sounds suspect, but maybe the USB mats are wired differently internally than the standard 360 controller...???. Anyway, they haven’t arrived yet, but if they work when they do arrive, I’ll leave a review on that product also. Not being one to put all of my eggs in one basket, I also purchased the DDR Game Tough brand (“DDR Non-Slip Dance Pad for PS/PS2, Wii, Xbox and PC”), which has also yet to arrive. If it works, I’ll also leave a review on that product. If you’re in my same situation, I hope this helps you get up and running.

Do not buy from this seller, dance pads do not work
They say that they “fixed the lag” (whatever that means) but it’s super laggy and you can’t play with it. If you have any issues, go to Amazon directly. This seller posts a phone number that’s never answered (with no voicemail) and an email address which also goes unanswered. Honestly, the fact that the title says “no delay” in the title and that the mat lags shows that they’re knowingly selling bad product. Be careful with this seller, seems like a scam.

Great Mat!
I bought this mat back in 2007 and it is still perfect! i hadent played in a while and yesterday i tried it agaain and it is just like new! the 1 inch thickness is perfectly comfortable and its extremely responsive. it comes shipped in three different puzzle-like pieces that you must put together and then insert into the mat. it is high quality made and not plastic cheap looking. definitely a good investment for beginners to standard/heavy players. if you are looking into AAAing 10 feet songs, then you should go for something more professional but this mat is excellent for id say up to 8 feet. it barely moves (i have a tiled floor) and again its very responsive. i can definitely say it improved my scores. for the price, you cant go wrong

Decent enough pad
Even with 4 stars l I’ll probably buy a second one for player 2 eventually. The right arrow kind lost some sensitivity, but it’s not always noticeable during gameplay and somehow is more noticeable when simply trying to press right while selecting the song in the first place… this is kind of typical with any of these pads though even the original pads that would come with these games when they first came out.

No slipping! At all!
I cannot express how AMAZING this mat is. The foam insert helps SO MUCH with the mat slipping against itself, not to mention against the floor. I feel safe and secure in dancing my days and weight away! Woohoo!

Are there even good mats made anymore?
I like DDR, I really do. I really wish people still made high-quality mats. The mat came with this cheap, very light foam that was not very supportive. The mat also had issues picking up my steps - I guess the sensitivity is too low? Not sure, but I returned the mat, only to have to pay for the shipping costs back because people do not seem to make decent mats anymore

Product arrived quickly and is functional. Foam pads as some have noted are a bit squishy and not high density. Being able to get PS2 pads in this day and age is a luxury. Nevertheless, the price is exorbitant. The vendor invoice itself admits the product to be worth $40 USD. The product is marked up at $90 CDN with $70 shipping charge brining a $55 product up to $160. Even this I was willing to swallow given the poor availability of this product in Canada. But weeks later I was saddled with another $40 invoice from FedEx. Wth did I pay $70 in shipping charges for, then? If you’re looking for a foam filled PS2 DDR mat, then this will do the trick, an you’re likely not to have a ton of option. But with regard to cost, I would say buyer beware.
