Literally you can't be sad listening to this! Gave as a house warming gift to someone with no knowledge of this type of music and they loved it! Their words "it's happy music". Great selection of songs, arrived in perfect condition!

motown greatest hits
This compilation is very good in most respects, and represents excellent value. All the tracks are the originals. You will be pleased to see that the version of the Temptations' Papa Was A Rollin Stone is the full one, with the long intro. Some strange choices, like Junior Walker, The Contours, Dennis Edwards, Rick James etc. I would have expected more Michael Jackson and a classic from Edwin Starr like War, but such compilations are always going to omit some peoples' favourites. How do you include all the classics, even on 3 c.d's ? This certainly includes 59 great tracks.

This compilation has enough nostalgia in it to satisfy most looking for it. For deeper dives into the Motown sound, there are plenty of other, older compilations floating around in the world, but this remastered 2LP album hits right. The pressing looks and sounds outstanding too.
