Review: It works great, but has some limitations - A few things I've found so far after using the product. -- TIPS -- - Has been used on a TI Nail without any negative results, I was looking for that info earlier, so hopefully that helps someone out. - Soaking is pretty quick, less than an hour if your piece is not caked with resin. It totally depends on how dirty the object is, but sometimes you can only soak for 15 mins, rinse and it's sparkling. However other times (stories below) I've had to sit longer than overnight and require scrubbing/abrasion. - Requires heavy rinsing with water - Safe so far to use with a cheap tupperware container (just the super thin cheap ones) and it's survived multiple uses. - Seems to work better with oil resin than the resin from burning medicinal herbs. I think the reason is that the oil resin doesn't create a crusty layer it's always somewhat viscous and just sheds off the glass w/ Grunge Off. - Will not dissolve plant matter very well. Think of things like vaporizer bowls that have a lot of leftover actual plant matter. You want to scrape this thoroughly before soaking --STEPS-- [] IF a small piece (bowl, pipe, downstem, nail, small bubbler, etc): 1. Put your dirty products in the bottom of a container container, pyrex or tupperware (don't use the tupperware for food after). 2. Pour product in, ensure it covers the object(s) 3. Inspect carefully for air bubbles, twist and manipulate (maybe even shake) objects to ensure the product is in every nook of the object. 4. Covert it and come back later, usually less than an hour later and pull out the object, returning any residual liquid to the container. 5. Rinse thoroughly, repeat if necessary. 6. Return product back to original bottle, strain (coffee filter) if necessary [] IF cleaning a water pipe: 1. Using a paper towel, twist it up thin enough so that you can stick it into any opening (downstem hole, etc) that you need to plug up. 2. Cover the paper towel with plastic wrap, just a small piece is needed 3. Shove that into any opening you need to plug up 4. Pour product into piece through mouth opening 5. Inspect the seal you made in step 3, allow some air through if you need the product to completely fill the interior of the water pipe. 6. Wait, depends how dirty, usually less than an hr. You may need to give a bit of extra care to the spot you plugged up since it may have not gotten touched by the product. 7. Pour out product, save it and return to original bottle. strain (coffee filter) if necessary 8. Rinse thoroughly. Repeat if neeeded ---PROS--- -It works, unless you have an especially dirty object (see below), then you will effortlessly get it sparkling clean. -It's completely reusable, even if it looks dirty. If used for medicinal herb resin/glassware then you will likely get ash. -When it comes to oil resin, it just melts away. Faster than you probably would expect. Stick some grunge off in an essential oil rig and come back 30 mins later it's spotless. -Doesn't seem to be too corrosive. I've gotten it all over my hands, some went down the sink, some got on the countertop, etc and no negative results so far. Also used it on a TI nail without any issues. - No shaking (again, there are special cases with very dirty stuff, as explained below) ---CONS--- - Needs heavy rinsing -- Grunge Off is somewhat soapy, honestly think of it as the consistency of motor oil, or "personal lubricant" -- and needs to be rinsed with water thoroughly. It will even foam up when rinsing. If you have a product that (for whatever reason) you cannot thoroughly rinse with water, this won't work. ISO will naturally evaporate, so as long as the reside is wiped off, the residual alcohol will just evaporate, so just keep that in mind. - It will still struggle with very problematic objects. Do you have a really hard to reach area that has 2 year old caked on resin deep in the downstem of your small bubbler tobacco pipe? Is there a spot on your pipe that gets blasted with hot ash and has created a thick caked on ash layer fused to the glass over the last decade? Well, that thick layer of gunk won't break up easily, even with grunge off. I actually had one piece that had maybe 6 years worth of just old medicinal herb resin in it, the only cleaning it had was using a paperclip to clear out airflow blockages. This wasn't easy for Grunge Off, but it eventually worked. What I've found with these crazy dirty objects is that you'll soak an object, rinse it, and there is just one small area with stubborn spots of caked on ash/resin that the product just can't break through and it does requires extra long soaking and scraping. I think something with crystals (ISO+Salt or another product that has crystals) would do a better job in those hard to reach areas that just need crazy scrubbing. Review: Actually works. - My pipe was supposed to be clear but was pure black. It looked and smelt nasty. My pipe is shaped like an animal so its hard to clean. I poured the grunge off into a bowl and let my pipe just lay in it for about 8 hours. Now there's no residue. I didn't think the residue would've come off but it did. The pipe smells like citrus and looks brand new. It came pretty quick too in bout 3 days. When you use it you should rinse out your pipe with hot water a few times then leave it in the grunge off overnight. While you are sleeping or while you're at work. It'll look brand new when see it again. The grunge off smells like citrus and is kind of sticky if some goes on your hand/table. Overall good buy 5/5. Will buy it again as soon as it runs out. Edit: You should also have some sort of funnel so you dont accidently drop some while you are pouring it back into the bottle. Since it is reusable I tried to pour it back into the bottle and dropped a s*** load.

Great product!
If your looking for a product to help you get rid of all the resin in your piece, this is it. I used to be an alcohol and salt guy. Although the alcohol+salt method does work, it can make the glass look foggy. With grunge off the piece looks brand new every time. all you have to do is soak the affected area and let it sit for a couple of hours. I usually do it over night. When its done soaking you'll see all the resin pieces floating everywhere. After that you can filter and reuse the grunge off again. Pros: Makes the glass look brand new again, has a nice lemon scent to it. can use for multiple cleans. Cons: Cant really think of any.

Super clean and VERY long lasting
This is the #1 cleaner I have tried. After 10 years of buying more expensive cleaners and going through ISO the last bottle I had of this lasted me 3 months of cleanings. I am a โheavyโ user so while the cleaner will turn black and get thicker, it does still work until there is no liquid left. It doesnโt do any damage to scientific, soft or colored glass. I donโt use it for quartz but for rigs/pipes it is my #1 choice. I pour some in the glass to be cleaned and plug the ends and shake it to get the cleaner all over. Then come back maybe 2 minutes later and most crud will rinse off immediately in hot water. For smaller items I set it in a water glass or jar and cover with grunge off. For carb caps that you canโt shake around this is a must have.

Works beautifully
Soaked my pipes (glass and brass) in this for a few hours and checked it periodically. It literally left them like new. Has a really nice citrus smell. And what's fantastic is that it's reusable. I took other reviewers' advice and ran it through a coffee filter to get the chunks out before returning it back to the bottle and it cleared up great. It even cleaned up a dragon pipe with a tricky bend in the tail I thought I would never be able to unclog. Wonderful product.

Practical and less toxic than isopropyl alcohol
Effective, but not as effective as isopropyl alcohol in my opinion. The smell is great though and doesn't give you headaches unlike isopropyl alcohol. I bought a funnel and coffee filters to reuse grunge off and it is effective at filtration for reuse later which is another plus over isopropyl alcohol. If you buy brushes to use along with grunge off while cleaning a very large piece it will work to clean it perfectly. It requires more elbow grease than isopropyl alcohol but you don't have to deal with the fumes from isopropyl alcohol. I wish there was more than 16oz for the price since you need a lot to clean a very large piece, but it is an effective and practical solution for cleaning your pieces.

Love this stuff!
Forget the Formula 420 and the homemade scrubs! Just fill your glass pipe with this or soak smaller pieces in a glass bowl for a couple of hours, and it will be spotless! You might have to use a q-tip or something to get out that hard resin after the soak, but it comes out with ease. I typically leave it overnight and just rinse in the morning, no scrubbing involved to make your glass look like new. Also, if you keep the used formula in a jar (it will most likely be black at this point if you are a heavy consumer), it can be reused, especially if you are doing the same piece to keep it nice and clean. Also helps prevent buildup for about a week after use. This is my go-to, no mess cleaner. Sure to impress!

This is an essential product
This stuff works so amazingly i wish i had taken before and after photos! I poured it into my tall rig with a lot of curves, let it sit for 20min then poured the stuff back into the container and rinsed. Before i even emptied it i could see through the glass with only small spots of resin still remaining. I used a plastic bag for smaller pieces and same results. High recommend. I am telling all my friends about it.
