Dosing ... I read the responses, but I still don’t understand. Is each capsule 99mg or 275 of potassium citrate?

let me explain this please.... they are using 275 mg of potassium citrate powder however each capsule is 99mg full per say... they must label it 275 because that is what it is but the dose in the capsule equals to 99mg hope this helps

The product is not pure potassium. There is citrate in it as well. I believe that the product is composed of potassium complexed with citrate. f I am not mistaken 99mg of potassium is the most allowed by law in a single capsule. There is also citrate bound to the potassium. The citrate would therefore be about 176mg in weight. The combined weight would therefore be 275mg or 99mg plus 176mg. I agree that the label would be clearer if it listed the amout of citrate as well as the amount of potassium.

Each capsule provides 275mg of potassium citrate or approximately 2.5 milliequivalents. Each mEq is about 108 mg.
