Gets baby in good mood- visually engaging
JUST GET IT. This book makes my 10-months old smile and get into a good mood anytime I read it to her especially in a cheerful tone of voice. It can make her go from grumpy or whimpering to pleasant and bubbly again. She has certain baby faces in the book she really favor's which make her smile. I also got the “Sleep” and the “Hugs and kisses” book by this author, and my baby likes all the photos of the babies a lot!

Great photos but doesn't hold up well
My 7 month old became very intested in baby faces so I tried to find a couple of board books that showcase a variety of races. My little girl loves to put everything in her mouth and she definitely tested a few corners of this book out. It managed to hold up okay and now she just likes to look at the pictures while I read each page to her. ***update*** I like that each page has a close up of a baby smiling and there are only a few words per page -- perfect for her attention span right now at 10 months. Having had the book for over 3 months now, it is definitely showing signs of wear & tear and as other reviewers have said, it's true that it doesn't hold up as well.

Wonderful book full of happy smiling babies. My five month old loves looking at the different faces. Very sturdy book and a good length.
