TONE Ratchet Handle Compact Head (Socket Hold Type) RH3CH 3/8" Inch Drive

Great ratchet. It has the drive head size of a 1/4 inch ratchet with a 3/8 inch drive. Great ergonomics and finish associated with the tool, it fits my hand well. Tone makes great specialty tools. Perfect for working in small areas - I will use it to replace spark plugs on wife’s Subaru (limited space with Subie boxer engine). Currently replacing all of my old Craftsman tool (that I inherited) with Tone Tools (Japan) and Koken USA (Japan) tools . I personally like Koken sockets and ratchets a bit more than Tone, however the Koken selection of other tools is limited compared to Tone; and right now you can get these high quality Japanese tools (from both companies) at good prices as the yen is down against the US dollar. The only thing that I don’t like, and it has nothing to do with the quality of the tool, is that I think some of Tone tools may be made in their facility in Vietnam instead of Japan - there are no markings of national origin on the ratchet itself. However, and again that has nothing to do with the fit, form, function or quality of the tool. I really like the ratchet (Note: If it makes a difference to anyone, their Japanese competitor, Koken Tools USA are all made in Japan, and quite a bit more expensive, however).

Purchased for replacement of spark plugs in 3.6L Subaru OB where work space is really at a premium. High quality. Motivated me to buy some Tone sockets.

I have a Subaru Forester and wanted to change the spark plugs. Believe me, you need small ratchets to do this job. This is a 3/8" drive ratchet with a 1/4" body (small). Absolute necessity for working in tight places. Good quality too. Highly recommend if you're working in tight places.

Works as advertised super small size exactly what I needed.

Must have for Subaru spark plugs. The driver side rear plug is basically pinned against a rail, no room for a universal. This ratchet, a couple 1 in extensions, and a swivel joint spark plug socket made the spark plug change doable.

I love this 3/8 inch ratchet in a 1/4 inch size body. It sure makes getting into tight spaces a lot easier. It will come in very handy the next time I change the serpentine belt on our V6 Camry with a 2GR-FE engine. The space between the inner fender and the belt tensioner is very tight. My sons have a Subaru Impreza now, and I understand that getting at the sparkplugs are another tight spot. This ratchet, along with the Koken Z-EAL low profile sockets will certainly make wrenching on our cars much easier.

This ratchet seems pretty nice but mine came without Japan stamped on it, neither did the packaging state where it was made so I returned it if I buy a tool because it states it's made in a specific country I want it to be stamped on the tool.

Excellent compact 3/8” ratchet. Very low back drag. Very tight machining tolerances and nice satin finish. Push button release is excellent. Highly recommend. This is my go to ratchet.

Tone Tools are beautifully made and finished as you would expect from a Japanese maker. This little ratchet will sneak into compact areas perfectly when teamed up with some low profile sockets. Am definitely buying more of their products.

Excellent quality Compact 3/8 Drive Ratchet Head. Very good value. Love the size and back drag for the tight spaces.
