Not sure what the small holes are for
The cold shoe mount is very solid but prone to movement. It has two small holes with screws that are probably designed to stop it from moving around but I can't work out what they are designed to screw into. Nothing I have will take those screws. Lucky I don't care if the cold shoe mount moves around too much.

Solid Cold Shoe Mount
Solid little mounting point that I can attach to my rig wherever I need a new cold shoe. It's a simple piece, so there's not much to say besides, it does exactly what you are expecting, and it does it well.
