US Toy Mini Train Whistles, One Dozen Assorted

This whistle works great and sounds well. It kind of sounds like a regular whistle and high pitched train, but it's mostly just a whistle that looks like a train. Even so, I use my wooden train whistle and the kids I work with respond with these whistles, and they're snatching them up whenever they earn a price! Perfect treasure box toy

Love this product. It seems sturdy and has a regular whistle sound not train sound. Will give them out for party favors. Trains are solid color and not different colored as shown. That doesn't matter to me. I rather prefer the solid color. The front of the train engine is glued (where you see sample of different colors) so you have to be careful that they dont come apart for little ines and that they can choke on it. I had dropped a few from 4 ft high onto cement and they seem to hold ok. But plastic seems a bit then though so you still need to be careful. Oh. The bag they come in smells really really bad. Remove the trains from the fumes in case the smell hit on the trains. For my trains they didn't smell thank God.

Needed multi color for Thomas the train themed birthday party, there were a couple that were duds but also extra anyway( as in more than i needed, not extra in the package). Kids loved them, they didnt care if they were actual characters. They are also really loud. Great price.

This was a great party favor for my 3-yr-old's train-themed birthday party. They are inexpensive enough to be "disposable", but durable enough for what they are (unless they get stepped on). They can be loud and shrill, so my personal recommendation is that they be used for an outdoor party. But, even the youngest child at the party (2-yrs) could blow these whistles, and all of the ones in the package worked. These whistles sound like "coach whistles," not trains. If you are looking for something that sounds like a train, pick a different product. But, if you want an inexpensive and fun party favor for a train party, these are great.

Sounds just like a train

These whistles will do the job of filling train themed treat bags but they are very light weight and cheapy feeling. These are quite expensive for what you get. I would be very surprised if these cost more than a nickel a piece to make. I value these at about 3 dollars at most for the quality that you get. The colors of the trains are lighter in person than in the picture but the shape and size of the whistles is good. There are no rough edges or broken pieces. I would recommend these at a lower price. When we went to our local dollar store to purchase some four pack miniature train whistles as party favors for our toddler's third birthday, but none were to be found. Since we're striving to have a train-themed party for him, we decided to look on Amazon and found these mini train whistles. These whistles are molded in three parts (both of the side pieces and the front piece) and glued together. The plastic is relatively thin, so if an adult were to accidentally step on one then it would more than likely break; however, it is not so thin that it could break from normal use. The set that we received had four colors with four engines per color, which came in green, orange, pink and yellow. The sound and volume of the whistle is similar to what you can produce with other small plastic whistles, but nothing like a train whistle. The whistles are clearly made in China, just so you don't think that "US Toy" means they're made in the United States (of America). If you're shopping for a no-frills miniature train whistle, then these are a decent buy. If you're hoping that these little whistles in the shape of a train sound like a train's whistle, then you'll be greatly disappointed.
