Brilliant bit of kit
I love this thing. I have DAB radio in the car but not on my HiFi in my home-office and I've been missing the choice of radio stations on my old FM tuner. Bought this Fitzwilliam to go with an old amplifier and set of speakers I had. Its really easy to set up - I had it playing Internet Radio and looking for DAB stations about 5mins after getting it out of the box. The display panel on the front is bright and clear, and the text is big enough to read easily. FM and DAB reception in my room is not good with the telescopic antenna that comes included. It looks like the screw-type F connector so I should be able to unscrew it and change if for a better one. Connecting to my home WiFi was a breeze. Signal strength is OK but not brilliant compared to other devices in my home-office (laptop, mobile phone), but I don't think the WiFi antenna is changeable so I'm stuck with it. Its good enough for the audio to be clear, just not showing on the display as a strong signal. I like that its got its own volume control because the old amplifier I've connected it to doesn't have a remote control, but the Fitzwilliam does so I can adjust the volume or mute when I have to take a phonecall etc without moving from my desk. Bluetooth is also easy to connect and works like a charm. Same with MP3's on a USB stick. Its got Spotify built in but I haven't played with that yet. All in all I'm very impressed!

Simpler to use than the instruction manual makes you think. The manual is very very precise.
I'm getting older and not so tech savvy as I once was. Reading through the manual (online) before the product arrived got me stressed. It was very clear and step by step, but it was so much information. In fact, when the thing arrives and you start. It's fairly straightforward. I never used the manual. Just followed the instructions on it's little screen. Main thing I would advise others is how to save your favourite. You will work it out yourselves anyway. But you get on the station you want to save first and then hold the favourites button down for as long as it takes. Then scroll down the list to an empty line on the favourites list. Then just push "ok". That's it done. So, for the price, this is a great product and comes with so many options. Internet/FM/DAB/USB/Bluetooth and the connects via RCA to an amp or powered speakers. Even an optical line which could be used with an offboard DAC I suppose. I have one not in use, but I will see how the sound is first. And all this is just back up for me as I normally use the SKY satellite radio stations. Excellent value.

Great Tuner
Plays pretty much everything and the sound through my AV amp connected via the optical output is excellent. The Music Player picks up my NAS and has no problem playing my playlists or whole albums and the sound is really good with no glitches my only minor gripe is the tiny gap between tracks which is really only noticeable on Live Albums. The choice of stations on the internet radio seems endless with thousands maybe millions available worldwide these can be sorted by country or genre with music to suit all tastes, Iโve also found a number of stations I used to listen to on my phone that now seem to be unavailable are actually playable through the Fitzwilliam. I can also search with my mobile and add them to my favourites in fact this where the linked mobile app really comes into its own. Iโve removed the attached DAB aerial as I have an aerial outside, this tuner has replaced an old DAB one and it seems to pull in even more stations with no loss of quality I can even pick up stations transmitting over 75 miles away. The display is as per standard DAB fare but the station logos is a nice touch. The FM section works fine although I donโt really listen to many stations on FM preferring Planet Rock and other stations only on DAB Spotify connect works as it should I have a Premium account so can listen to all the latest releases through this attached to my AV amp, Iโm a music purchaser and use Spotify in the main to audition new releases to help me decide if I should buy the physical album and for this the Fitzwilliam provides a way of playing the tracks in high quality making the decision easier. Iโve not tried Bluetooth yet but Iโm sure it works fine. In summary I think the Majority Fitzwilliam looks good in my AV Rack alongside much more expensive equipment and it also sounds great and the feature set make it something of a bargain I would highly recommend it.

Very Good But Not Perfect
I was an early adopter of DAB radio with three DAB radios including a nice hi-fi model hooked up to my stereo system. Then of course DAB+ slowly took over and the stations that I listened to started to move over to DAB+ leaving me with very little station choice. The roof aerial for my hi-fi FM radio started to fall apart leaving me with a problem there as well. That's where this little beauty came in and at a very reasonable price. It's very good but not perfect hence the four star review. It's very easy to install and looks good. It has more features than I will probably need so there's no problem there. The internet radio works perfectly and gives a very good sound. The aerial doesn't work very well where I am due to my location. I think that it would have been a good idea to have a socket for an external aerial and it seems a bit mean to not include it as everything else seems to have been thought of. After a few weeks of trying the DAB+ stations and having mixed results I decided to strip some of my roof aerial cable to the bare wire and wrap that around the built in aerial. I then wrapped some tape around the wire to keep a good contact and keep it from making contact with anything else. This has worked perfectly and I can now get full enjoyment out of the DAB function. Please be careful if you try this method. The remote works fine but I do have to stand right in front of the unit to make it respond. I've found that EQ settings don't make much difference so I don't bother with that function. If you do use the EQ settings I had to reset it after every change of function which was a bit annoying. Having said all of that I am pleased with the overall performance and I consider it good value for money.

An excellent Internet/DAB/FM radio tuner that performs really well.
This is an excellent piece of kit. I waited a couple of weeks before writing this review , trying out the Internet Radio , DAB+ , and FM stations , and the reception quality has been excellent. I would point out that the telescopic aerial for DAB & FM can be unscrewed , so you can easily connect a cable with a Coaxial F type connector one end , and a Coaxial aerial plug on the other. Plug this in to an Aerial wall socket , and this improves the DAB+ & FM reception quality considerably. I would also recommend installing the UNDOK app on your Smartphone if you have one. I found it easy to do everything I wanted using that , so I haven't really had to use the Controls on the unit itself , or the supplied Remote control either. Apart from a rather small display on the Majority Fitzwilliam , which is rather difficult to see from a distance , the Unit itself performs well , and considering the price , I think is really good value too.

Truly great value for money
I have been using a Reveo Superconnect for Spotify, DAB and internet radio connected to my hi-fi for years. I spotted this device whilst surfing Amazon and it immediately caught my attention. Mine is the black model and it looked as though it would match nicely with other components in my setup. For the price, I decided to give it a go and ordered one. It looks far more impressive than the price might lead you to believe as other reviewers have noted. It was easy to setup and the sound quality is just as good as I had experienced from the far more expensive Revo Superconnect. DAB being mostly in mono, and low bit rate, sounded exactly as expected, switching to FM immediately brought high quality sound, as good as my Sony S570ES tuner. Spotify was equally impressive, as was the internet radio. I haven't tried blue tooth as I don't have a device I want to connect to it in this way. Yes, the device is made to a price, it's very light weight and uses an external wall wart SMPS. As others have noted, the scrolling rate on the display is slow and the yellow, rather basic, clock that you can have on permanently doesn't do it any favours. I've simply set mine for the display to go off a few minutes after switching off. The quality of the album art displayed on it's screen when using Spotify is actually really good, if you press the ok button on the remote, it will fill the whole screen with that image. The instructions booklet is adequate and I had no difficulty adjusting anything after reading them. There are two small antennas supplied to attach to the SMA connectors on the rear for WiFi and blue tooth, one of these broke whilst screwing it on but fortunately I have a number of small SMA antennas from other devices I own. The main FM / DAB antenna is a telescopic one that comes already screwed in place. I would have liked to see separate antenna inputs for FM and DAB as I have both kinds of aerial on the chimney of my house. Removing the screw on telescopic antenna to attach the cable for the external aerial proved very tricky, I had to remove the case of the Fitzwilliam to do this as I needed to use pliers to hold the inner retaining nut whilst loosening the external one. It was worth doing and signal strength for both DAB and FM was at maximum using the external DAB aerial. For the money the Fitzwilliam costs, I'm more than happy for the fiddling that was required to sort the antenna socket out. All other components in my hi-fi setup are high quality, expensive, the Fitzwilliam looks both aesthetically pleasing and does an excellent job for it's diminutive price tag.

Majority Fitzwilliam 2024.
Absolutely blown away by this Majority Fitzwilliam 2024. Been looking for a while to update my separate system to play Bluetooth and USB music. Hadn't a clue what they would be called in order to search for them, only found the cheap add on little boxes. Then by accident I came across the MF 2024 exactly what I wanted AND much more, in silver and on offer, reduced by ยฃ30. To be honest I was sceptical, an unknown make at a knockdown price so I read the reviews. Funny how sometimes the negatives seem to stick more despite its 72% 5* positive. Decision time! Knowing that Amazon offers don't last long I thought just go for it, it can always go back, a bit of a faff but do-able. I opted for Amazon outer packaging as an extra precaution against any knocks or damage in transit, To my surprise it arrived in a large brown paper bag, not a cardboard box but at least it kept the players outer box clean. The players box was well packed with cardboard inside and the player itself was in a cotton bag. The player looks well made and isn't exceptionally light in weight as some have commented. So out with the old dial tuner and in with the new. Internet connected wirelessly (no hadwire port) 3rd attempt but that was a mix of me not understanding some terminology on the player and the instructions being a bit vague, (in my opinion) on this part of set up. There's a retractable ariel for FM and DAB+ which I couldnt raise fully because of my stack shelves so I extended it at 45 degrees across the back of the player to the width of my shelves. Picked up FM and DAB+ no problem. I stored some stations and hit play. The sound is amazing through my amp and speakers, better than anticipated, with options to tweak. I like my bass it has it. The rest is crisp and clear. The USB (up to 128k) plays my tunes well. The Internet radio is fantastic, when combined with Airable (free but requires log in on another device) it's even better, so many worldwide radio stations even some (Saudi) dedicated to individual artists and bands, non stop (Essential). Plus you can search by genre, or whatever, just save on your external device and by magic they are also saved on the player. I can't get enough of the Internet radio. It also does Podcasts but as yet untried as is Bluetooth. There's even a remote control for armchair enthusiasts. In a nutshell to date it's one of the best things I have recently bought. It's upgraded my separates system beyond what I originally wanted it to do but I am so glad it has because it has all the extra functions, and sounds so well. If anything changes I'll let you know. It also comes with a claimable 3 year warranty. Go for it!

All in one audio media solution.
What a great product. We bought this for work as we wanted something that had DAB and needed something that had both line outs to an amplifier and crucially the option to screw in an external aerial. We also like the idea of the built in Bluetooth because up until now we've been streaming audio into a small BT receiver. I can confirm all modes (apart from Spotify as we've no account) work well. The built in WiFi is easy so set up using WPS and the inclusion of a podcast feature is useful and not something I've come across before. The menus are laid out well and I was able to set nearly everything up without referring to the manual. The only time that was needed was how to programme presets. FM radio is sensitive and receives our local community station using the external DAB aerial. DAB is sensitive and also copes well with strong nearby signals. The telescopic aerial was removed and a home made dipole stuck to an office window allowing reception of the distant SDL national multiplex. It also lets us receive a SSDAB MPX from another town. Audio quality is very good given the limitation of DAB even on some of the lower bit rate stations. It's been in use for a few days now and so far we are very pleased with it, I can't pick any faults in it what so ever and am happy to recommend it.
