16" Refrigerator Knife Bar

Needed a small magnetic knife holder because of space available on the side of the refrigerator so I bought the 10in. I also wanted other mounting options in case I wanted to move it. It came with 3M strip that was the length of holder as well as screws. Installation was easy although the screw mount metal cover-plate gave me a bit of a wrestling match to get it off but I took that as a good sign the magnet was heavy duty. The magnet back was very strong and once on the refrigerator, it was not easy to move. I will agree with other reviews the back edge is sharp so do not drag it across the surface to reposition as I am sure it will scratch. I recommend lifting it off to reposition - again a bit of a tug of war to get it off. I am not a lightweight but you are trying to lift with just your finger tips 😁. The front magnet is also very strong and fits 5 knives including my large chef knife, probably could get a sixth on it but I like the spacing to get to the handles . The knives didn’t move when touched so no wobble, swinging or sliding when you pushed with a finger. I love the clean line look of the holder and the knives are now out of reach of little hands and no accidental nicks to the fingers when they were in the drawer. I did a little comparison shopping and bought another brand (few $$ cheaper) that promoted very similar features however Modern Innovations outperformed so the other was returned.

I mounted this on the side of my refrigerator. It is STRONG - it stays in place and the knives and scissors don’t slip around. Finally solved a problem I’ve been tolerating for years!

I wish everything was this easy. This solved a knife storage issue for me and it was so simple. Well made, strong magnets with no weak spots. Do be careful when removing the plastic film between the metal pieces as the magnets are strong. I just wore an oven mitt so that I wouldn't get accidentally pinched. Very pleased with this purchase!

I have been using 2 sets of knives out of the box since I bought them. It was driving me crazy; we have a small kitchen and no extra space. I decided to take a chance on this knife magnet. I didn't want on my lower shelves or refrigerator. Decided to put in my upper cabinets. It was easy to install, 3-5 minutes, depending on how long it takes to discuss with your hubby. LOL. The magnet is strong and holds all the knives, kitchen scissor and peeler very tight. Love it and it makes me happy. ;)

Works just like it was described. I love the fact this seller is actually located in USA! It shipped very fast. The magnet strip is the perfect strength.

In concept, it seemed like a good product to keep my expensive kitchen knives organized safely and securely. But I ended up returning the product for the following reasons: 1. Not ideal for long blades. The magnets on this strip is VERY STRONG. So strong, in fact, that it's rather difficult to remove a knife by the handle without pivoting the knife at the contact point (between the blade and the strip). For long blades, this usually means the tip of the blade will end up touching/scratching the wall to which the magnetic strip is attached. I don't want to end up with scratch marks on my refrigerator everytime I detach a long kitchen knife, not to mention I am not too keen about the tip of my expensive knives (some costing almost a thousand dollars each) making contact with anything other than food and cutting board. 2. It's possible to damage delicate blades if not attached carefully. When attaching a blade, I needed to make a conscientious effort to tilt the blade in such a way that the spine of the blade makes contact with the strip first. If the blade-side were to make contact first, the strength of the magnet causes the blade edge to slam on to the stainless steel strip and runs the risk of damaging the blade. 3. It's possible to damage delicate blades if not detached carefully. To detach a blade, I needed to grab a knife by the handle and pivot the blade about the spine so that the blade-side lifts first before pulling the knife away from the strip. Very powerful magnets! Sounded great in theory, but this was one of those Try-It-Before-You-Buy. The act of stowing/retrieving (without damaging the blade) required too much conscientious effort on my part to consider this product as a useful kitchen tool. If you have cheap knives and aren't bothered by the possibility of damaging your knives, then this product might be for you. But for someone like me who owns several expensive Japanese knives and very protective of my blades, this product is a deal breaker.

I love that this attaches right on the refrigerator or side of oven with no problem !! It helps with the little extra space I have in my new "very small" apartment !! Thank you :)

A previously returned, damaged item was sent. The plastic tab described in the instructions was not present. Only one side was sufficiently magnetic. When attached to the fridge, the magnet on the other side was not strong enough to hold knives. Returned.

Terrific product. It was super easy to install as it's magnetic and the magnet seems to be very strong. This gets my good knives out of a crowded drawer, so I'm very please with it.
