The size recommended by the manufacturers was incorrect. I bought a medium size shirt for a cat who is roughly 11-12 lbs and it was too small.

Can you attach a leash to it?

You won't be able to walk your cat on a leash because the shirt is too relaxing. You'll have to carry your cat.

My cat screams and cries all the way to the vet and undergoes terrible stress. He's fine when we get there. Will the Thundershirt help?

Probably. My cat has the cat version of Alzheimer's. When he starts howling at the top of his lungs, I put him in the shirt he stops howling and flops over. He seems OK for a while after that and I take the shirt off after about 15 minutes. This cat becomes Catzilla when taken to the vet and the shirt reduces the screaming and conniption fits by about 50%. It was worth the money.
