Besides this, because of the somewhat slick metal, if your hands are not warm or you're not wearing gloves, your fingers will slip up the handles toward the shears. Not so much unsafe as it is cumbersome. Despite this, I should reiterate the quality of these shears. Fundamental in design, they are precise and sharp, as mentioned already.
