Martha Stewart Crafts Large Circle Cutter

I bought this to make labels that are attractive and to laminate paper labels I've printed and pasted to bottles and other containers. It is hard to find circle punches larger than 2" in diameter. When you do find them, purchasing multiple sizes can become very pricey. This works easily (once you get the hand positions going) and precisely. Just be careful of protecting your work surface. This simple tool can cut through several layers so easily you might not sense when you've cut through. Great tool.

I haven't really used this yet but I have done a few practice circles with it and feel it will work properly when I do go to use it. But I must comment on the quality of Martha Stewart craft items. I have bought a few of her items in the past and am always impressed with how well made they are. Heavy duty plastic, heavy metal in items, and no rough corners to catch on something. My feeling is always buy a Martha Stewart craft item (if available) over any other brand because I know it will stand up to heavy use and will not break at first use.

This tool is very easy to use and accurately cuts circles to your specified size. I was worried about inserting/changing the cutting blade, but it is very simply and quickly done. I like the built in safety factor of having a way to dock the blade for storage, without having to remove it. Martha Stewart products are usually very well thought out and this is no exception. I wish the smaller circle MS circle cutter was constructed the same way!

Does a good enough job, and it's a clever unit, however getting a full turn you really have to make sure you do it right. I don't think it is possible to cut it in one turn, as you have to cut, then go over or under the arm that is holding it in place, then continue the cut. This is where a bit of inaccuracy can come. Its no big deal, but it can make the circle off by a tad if you're not extra careful. And my cutting mat was only average size (12X18) I believe, so the issue is having a super large circumference to work with so that it cuts evenly. I like it, but if there is a more efficient way I'd be all for it. I have no problem with it, but wouldn't suggest it for anyone that has arthritis, or an unsteady hand.

Excellent circle cutter, the best I've used! Easy to cut and has a very sharp blade with extras included. I am a wedding designer and use this product often and we haven't replaced the blade yet, so it has been a great purchase. I'd recommend to any brides or anyone in the wedding industry!

The product is very neat however it has some drawbacks and tricks. The drawbacks: 1- The blades break extremely easily! They are cheaply made and absolutely anything and everything can break them. The key for it is to anytime you are not using the cutter (and I mean even if you are just switching papers) place the blade in the safe dock to avoid them to break. Also, to cut the paper (cardstock is what I have been cutting) you do not need too much pressure. Very light pressure will not cut the paper and too much pressure will break the blade, therefore you got find a medium amount of pressure to apply in order to get a good cut and keep the blade intact. A very important thing: DO NOT cut any paper if the blade is broken, this will give you uneven and smaller pieces than what you were expecting. In the positive side the blades are cheap to replace. 2 - The sheath of the blade is great to protect the blade but is awful to come off! I have cut my fingers quite a few times while trying to unsheath the blade. And the cuts are no joke, they were very deep and hard to stop the bleeding. Be very careful when unsheathing the blade because it is not as easy as said in the manual and you can get hurt very easily. 3 - The smallest size of circles that can make are 4", which on my opinion is a bit of a drag. I wish it could make smaller circles as well as. Besides these 3 points in the overall is a very good and neat cutter for the price.

I purchased this product along with some shiny copper contact paper for a DIY home project. I wanted to make a polka-dot wall, but was outraged at how expensive pre-made dot decals cost. DON'T BUY THEM! Using this cutter you can make circles in whatever color or pattern you choose for an instant upgrade to any wall-space! The cutter works beautifully, although it seems to create tears and shreds in thin papers. Make sure you press down firmly and cut around your circle many times to make sure the blade has gone all the way through. DO NOT CUT ON DELICATE SURFACES because the blade will go right through to your table, floor, etc.. I suggest using a piece of cardboard underneath.

This cutter is great - I bought it to use as I prepare to make my son's scrapbook before high school graduation, but we ended up using it at work to cut - from cardstock - some marketing material. It's sturdy and has worked perfectly for our needs. Love that you are able to cut many different sizes; and I've just made sure to have some replacement blades on-hand. Great product!

Es muy fácil de usar y seguro, corta de una en una pero lo utilicé en papel fomi y con dos pasadas pude cortar el círculo. El paquete llegó antes y en perfecto estado.

Dieser Kreisschneider macht sehr präzise Kreise. Es entseht kein Loch in der Mitte, das sollte man wissen, wenn man den Mittelpunkt des Kreises braucht!Man kann den aber auch anders ermitteln, ist hier für mich ein bisschen kompliziert als Erklärung, schaut mal im Netz, da findet Ihr bestimmt was. Ich finde dieses Gerät sehr gut und die Messer sind scharf und gut im Oberteil aufzubewahren!

La verdad es que no me fijé mucho en las medidas y es más grande de lo que pensaba. La circunferencia mínima será de unos 12cm aprox. Es estupendo para darle un toque difernte de vez en cuado a las decoraciones. Además el sistema de guardado de las cuchillas es bastante curioso, ya que te viene con la primera y 2 repuestos que se guardan en el centro (donde estaría el centro de la circunferencia), tiene como una tapa y dentro hay 3 huecos justos para guardarlas todas. El sistema para ponerlas y quitarlas también es muy seguro así que no habría problema en desmontarla siempre que le vayas a guardar. Te recomiendo este cutter si sueles hacer decoraciones de scrapbooking grandes, cuadros, decoraciones de mesas o habitaciones de niños ;)
