This is a great skeleton GoPro case for Hero3 and 3+. I've this case of RC aircraft and it has held up even in a pretty bad crash the GoPro stayed in the case. Although these types of cases don't offer any protection like standard case but they make up for it in weight savings. I now this mount as a stationary camera on my quad copter. I'm impressed with this case. Works great with all my factory GoPro mounts and accessories. Cost a fraction of what a factory case would. Extremely happy with my purchase!

I guess there are many reasons people buy certain products. I am working an IoT project (Internet of Things). I needs streaming video to YouTube. A GoPro camera can stream live video and as you know is small and light. I mounted it on a robot but the standard GoPro housing is waterproof so you can't connect cables. This housing holds the camera and allows the HDMI cable to connect to the camera. It works. What more can I say? I'm pleased.

Construction: The Black Frame Clear View Protective Skeleton Housing Case Shell with Lens for Gopro Hero 3+ Hero 4 is built using a durable plastic . If fits snug around my action cam, with easy to access buttons Operation: The frame is tight but that’s the point. You need to squeeze the bottom tabs to fit it to the mount. I would not call this a case you would quickly, and easily slip on and off. You need to remove the whole screw in-order to remove the cam from the housing. Issues: The title on the amazon page strictly states protective housing for GoPro3+, or Hero4 so I cannot fault them on my next issue. I own a GitUP action cam as per the pics all is good except for I have no access to the memory card when the frame is on. Not a huge deal as I rarely access the card but it would've been nice to have an opening on both sides to make this a more generic skeleton frame. Overall Thoughts: Bought this to use in extreme cases where I was concerned I could lose the action cam as the mounting frame that it originally came with was a slip and clip in style. Easy to change out but not very secure. At less than $5.00 which is what I paid for you cannot go wrong.

I was looking for a sort of skeleton case to put around my GoPro where I could connect to the different attachments like a connector I had in the plane I flew. I wanted it open so I could also connect a battery and an audio input that I had connected to the radio comms to get audio from the airplane radio. It was well priced and did exactly what I needed. I will say that sometimes I feel like the material might snap when I’m putting it on and off of the GoPro but it hasn’t yet and I’ve used it a lot. Also, it’s so well priced that if it did break, I’d just buy another one.

Based on the other reviews here i was expecting something pretty cheap, and not worth the $$. That's totally not the case with this item. It's pretty sturdy. I purchased this so I could use the camera as a dash cam ( i use it on my motorcycle, and it's caught a few issues that have helped me in the past ), nonetheless, I wanted to do the same in my car, but I needed a way to 1, hear audio better, and 2, charge the device while I was in the car. Obviously i didn't want to rely strictly on battery power, as that would end in failure. I'm able to set this up in my car ( dashboard ), and plug it into my car while I use it, because all of the ports are available when this case is on the device. It's basic, and does exactly what I expected / wanted it to do. If you need a way to charge the device while using it, or have access to the ports for whatever reason, then this is the unit you want. It's important to note that this is NOT a protection device, this will NOT allow you to go underwater with it, you WILL need the sealed plastic box it came in for this. You should know the adapter that came with it that you use to secure to a go pro mount is not made by go pro, and does not have the go pro logo. I'll have to assume the screw that came with it will also not be from go pro.

This case does leave the camera open for better access, but it has some MAJOR flaws, that ended up breaking my camera. It ended up cracking the front bezel on my gopro and the holes don't quite line up properly, shorting out my USB port. Pros: * Leaves the camera case open for better sound and access to the cable ports. Cons: * When putting it on, it can catch the gray cover/bezel to the gopro camera. It did that on mine, and ended up cracking it. I was very mad. * The case puts constant pressure on top button, so that any time you even touch the camera, it will start or stop your recording. This is super annoying if you have quick capture enabled. Your camera is constantly turning on and off. * The USB doesn't line up all that well either. The stock gopro USB cable has a hard time going in without putting a ton of sideways pressure on the USB port. Since using it, my USB port seems to short out easily. Don't waste your time. This cheap case has cracked my front bezel and shorted out the USB port on my expensive camera. I really wish I wouldn't have bought this. I didn't think that breaking my camera was even a remote possibility.

I do like the case and it is very sturdy HOWEVER original OEM backdoors do not work with this case due to the spacing where the door clips in is different size so I couldn't use my OEM backdoor/float box with it.

This is exactly as pictured. You will have to learn how to install the camera,,, carefully.. It is pretty obvious that you do not want to bend this too much. You have to put the same end in each time first. I am almost reluctant to take it off once it is on since it fits so tightly. I read some one had a problem attaching cables, which is the whole point of having this. I attached both a microphone and a charger cable and had no issues. I bought this so I could put the GoPro on a tripod and attach a mic. Worked like it was supposed to.

Desde que compre la camara solo contaba con la carcasa waterproof que viene de default. Sin embargo con el uso se ha rayado un poco lo cual le baja ligeramente la nitidez a las fotos. Con este frame, las fotos salieron más que perfectas. Si bien no es un protector, funciona idealmente para mejorar la claridad y nitidez de tus fotografía sin tener un plástico atravesado en frente.

Doesn’t fit the hero 3. You can imagine my dissatisfaction when the case finally arrived and I went to try it out only to fun that it doesn’t fit. This case is made for the hero 7 and yet the title of the listing and description says hero 3, 3+ and 4. I am severely dissatisfied with this purchase and now don’t have a way to wear my GoPro to the upcoming event. And I don’t have another week to wait for the correct one to arrive. Very disappointed.

Buena calidad de producto en relación precio, la verdad es que a veces es necesario sacar la go pro de su estuche original para captar mejor el audio por que tiene muy buen microfono, este producto es justo lo necesario para eso.

Una excelente alternativa al producto oficial y mucho más caro de gopro, sólo hay que tener cuidado al colocarse y remover pero si se usa correctamente no hay riesgo de romperla

El case con el mic descubierto, mejora mucho la recepcion del audio, solo tiene un poco de juego para meter la camara y hace falta una proteccion adicional al lente pero su funcion la cubre muy bien, ademas la entrada para un microfono adicionl le da un valor agregado Gracias
