At 64, my brown hair is being lightened in stages - hides the gray roots much better! I've tried pencils, mascara-like brushes, eye shadow brushes with brown eyeshadow, various liquid pens, hair fiber pens, Wonderbrow - you name it, I've tried it.My pet peeve is that the color swatches shown online are nearly always WAY WAY off! I was initially looking for a light, ash (cool) brown, but it seems that no matter what I bought, it would range from freakish cinnamon to dark chestnut to BLACK - no kidding - no matter what shade of brown they called it.I finally found this Bella Brow in blonde that goes over my light, ash brown brows with the perfect color. I can fill in the blank patches, and also extend my brows out closer to my nose. I can lengthen the tails and get a fabulous shape for my brows using this tool.As others have noted, the trick is to control your strokes! Use the pen with the fan shape DOWN (maybe counter-intuitive?) and gently but steadily brush-brush-brush the color up through your own brows. Then extend the brows on either end and even give them more fullness or a shape with careful application. I use a 15X magnification mirror to see what I'm doing.These brows will last for DAYS if you don't wash them off - no kidding! I love waking up with beautiful brows! The makeup easily comes off, tho, with Almay makeup remover pads. I'm definitely keeping this brand on-hand TFN. One pen for my travel kit, one at home and TWO in storage.
