Does the fabric shed a lot, especially when laundered?

I wish I had seen someone else's comment about the shedding before I purchased this robe. I've washed and dried it three times, including inside out, and when I wear it over my pajamas I still have pjs covered in lint which then transferred to my bed sheets. Apparently I can't return this now because it's not new.

I don’t understand where you are from but if you live in a southern climate it might be too warm. I live in Jacksonville Fl where we do have a brief winter period. This robe is not overly heavy or hot. It’s been perfect for the cold mornings and evenings we have been having without making me too hot. Hope this helps.

Yes it has 2 front pockets. I love this bathrobe. It is really soft and comfortable.
