Deffinately not easy to install but works great when it is installed

Bought these for a GM OBS pickup I'm working on. They're a great replacement for worn or sloppy originals. They look exactly the like GM ones I took out, but new, of course. I bought GM latches for OBS trucks years ago when they were avail from the dealer, which even back then were over $100 each ..and these look the same. So these are a pretty good deal. So I give them 5-stars. If you have never replaced a door latch before on an OBS truck, it can be a somewhat involving process. There are good how-to videos out there on the interwebs. One interesting note: Comparing side-by-side these appear to be the SAME latch GM used on 80's square-body Caprice/Impala 2-door cars other than the black plastic sheath on the locking tang (because the striker on the trucks is smaller dia than Caprices). The 2-dr Caprice/Impala cars used a different style latch than the 4-dr Caprice/Impala cars. For a long time 2-Dr replacements weren't available. I restored a worn Caprice latch one time. But these should work perfect..if the right ones aren't avail (you may need to knock the black plastic off). I did not try one of these on a Caprice (yet) ...just an interesting observation.

Very well built easy to install

It was priced low, works great. Maybe after I replace 100 of these it will get easier. Know that Chevy started with this part and built a truck around it. It is held in place with 3 screws, 4 beers, 3 bandaids, and 4 new swear words.

Awesome product and made strong and durable.

Got the latches replaced about 1½ year ago and even now I still don't even have to slam the door to close them

Door stricter latch looks to be all plastic as opposed to OEM steel that is plastic covered. Time will tell how long it lasts.
