I need boots with a zipper on the side to allow me to maneuver the boot onto my foot. While these boots do no have a full zipper on the side, the zipper is long enough for my purposes. In addition to needing wiggle room I also need boots that are completely flat. Any sort of heel makes it extremely difficult for me to walk since my prosthetic ankle does not bend to accommodate any extra height. Overall these are a great buy for anyone needing a flat boot and the ability to maneuver a prosthetic (or a stiff ankle) into a boot.Wearability is great. We have a family membership at our local zoo and we often spend an entire day there. I usually wear these boots when we go in the spring and fall. I have never gotten blisters and my feet do not hurt more than they do in any other type of footwear.Style-wise these are very cute and trendy. I get complimented on them all the time.The only cons I really have with the boots is that the shaft is not very wide so anyone with athletic calves (like me) might have issues with fit. I am pretty tall for a woman (5'8") and I feel that the shaft of these boots comes up to a perfect spot on me. Shorter people may feel that the shaft is too long. The last con is that these are not warm at all. If you are looking for warm boots for very cold months (we have a lot of cold in the midwest) these are NOT them. If you were warm socks or double up on socks your feet will stay warm but they might feel a bit squished because the boots are not wide.Overall I feel that these were a great buy and I would definitely recommend them.UPDATE: I bought these boots in October of 2014 and it is now December of 2016 and these boots are still going strong! They do show minor signs of wear (little creases and scratches) but I think it adds character. I still get complimented on them on a pretty regular basis. The sole is also starting to pull away from the base a bit but I think that'll be easily fixed with a bit of glue. Overall I still love these boots. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I really like these. SUPER cute. *by Z***3 on November 6, 2014* I would have given these 5 stars instead of 4, except the fake leather material is peeling off a little in some spots. They have seen no inclement weather yet, and are doing this anyway. I have hardly even worn them outside, except back and forth to my car into work, etc. I almost guarantee that if I wore these in the snow even once they would be ruined, which is sad because they fit very nice and i want them to last FOREVER! :( They are maybe a SMIDGE on the big side in the width of the feet but the calves fit great. I have size 11 feet, which apparently makes manufacturers think your calves should be really fat. These are NOT like that and fit my calves perfectly!!! They hit right below the knee where I want them to. They don't puddle much at the ankles, and the elastic keeps them up really well. oh and the most important part of all - they are SO COMFORTABLE. I could probably walk the Mall of America in these all day and night and they'd be just a comfy as sneakers.You know what? Even if the material is peeling off a little, buy them anyway. You will be glad you did. These are good value, comfortable, and they look adorable. I had bought a pair of these boots years ago from Maurices and instantly fell in love. I wore them day in, day out. Got lots of compliments and they went well with everything I owned. You can dress these up and dress these down. The choice is yours.So after wearing them out because I wore them so much, I went back to Maurices to get another pair. No luck. All sold out. Couldn't find them anywhere.
