Will this work?** A: No, these items will only function properly at 120V. You could possibly use one hot from the 220V and a neutral wire if your 220V comes in 2-pole supply. But I would assume like in Europe that your 220V is single pole, so unfortunately, this wouldn't work. **Q: Can it be safely applied to a mirror that is about 3 inches larger than the pad on all 4 sides? Will the heat expansion crack the mirror?** A: It should work fine but you may be able to tell the outline of the pad when the room is foggy. We have it installed behind a mirror tiled in to the shower and the tiles do not overlap the pad. We have had it for about 6 months and have not had the cracking of the metallic mirror backing or any issues. It does take 20 minutes or so to stand up to a steam shower but works in about half the time for the regular shower. With a $30 custom cut mirror and this pad, we saved 300-400 on the comparable thermasol mirrors. **Q: Can 2 separate pads be added to one large mirror?** A: You can. I did 2 pads on the large mirror over our double sink in the master bath, works great. **Q: Does this product need to be wired in or does it have a plug?** A: the way it comes from the manufacturer it needs to be wired in to a circuit, either on its own switch or, in my case, the same circuit that serves the light fixtures next to the mirror. My electrician went ahead and added a plug to the wire and plugged it into a skinny recessed receptacle behind the mirror so that if I ever wanted or needed to take the mirror down it would be easy to unplug.
